Kingdom Hearts II Summons - KHII

Okay so i completed KHII already but i wanted to start again and last time i did it i didnt use summons because i couldnt work out how to do it....so i was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this as i would really like to test this out this time

 

Summons call forth the summoned character, using up your drive gauge, and all your MP.

Summons can be really powerfull. I'm a huge fan of Stitch... he has his own limit "Ohana" and all damage taken is given to stitch, not you... and we all know how much damage Stitch can take.

I like Genie too...

 

Stitch is my fav to, genie is better good to.....i think i like genie more!!!!!!! oh well!!!!!

 

Stitch and Peter Pan were the most useful of the Summons because they also help you to win the Tournaments. The easiest place I figured to level them was in the city of TWTNW. I just kept going back to the save spot and returning and it was quite simple since the Heartless come out, aren't a threat really and you can get them set up easy that way. Genie was fun too.

I think the one I hated the most was Chicken Little. He was so annoying. >.<

 

You have to have your magic and drive gauge up to summon

stitch was cool - he would shoot you if you got in his way (though i never summoned my brother did)

 

Did he have any usefulness at all?

 

You could go into a shot with him where you aim as he throws lame baseballs at opponents. I never found a single use for him. He was just annoying. Genie had some use, Peter Pan and Stitch seemed the best Summons of the game though for completing the Journal and all. I think he was just made to be cute and maybe early on he did some kind of better damage than Sora...but I really don't think so. It was utterly useless to me.

 

Thanks for the replies...does somethiing come up somewhere during battle that ya can press to summon? i concentrate to much on the fighting than i do on whats happening anywhere else on screen

 

Chicken Little does have his uses, actually. He can immobilize all enemies that get too close to you which saved my butt once when I accidentally summoned him on my level 1 save in Final Mix so he's not completely useless. :x
