SUMMER GENERAL

I have to get a second job because teachers don't get paid in the summer.

If I get lucky, though, all my bills and debts will have disappeared by September, meaning I can keep my teaching job instead of continuing to toil away at whatever summer thing I end up doing.

Got nothing planned, just mess around, work, and maybe play around with the Adobe CC some more.

 

Schools break up here normally around 20th July so most of the people here won't be going anywhere until then. As for me, I have no exams... I am just an adult with responsibilities like so many of us here ;-; (WE'RE ALL GROWING UP FUCK WHAT?) I just have my job that I shall hopefully get lots of money from so I can eat at university when I go in September.

So aside from working continuously and going to Prague in a month with some friends and going and staying with my sister for a week, I will be psyching myself up for Uni and probably reading books whilst enjoying the sun. And ice cream. I will consume all the ice cream under the sun.

 

Right now, I've been watching Grey's Anatomy since I was finished with finals last week.. I'm on season 10 so only 24 episodes to go until I'm done! Then I'm going to work on mah tan and swim a lot. I want to start working out, too, but eh. I might get motivation for that eventually. But otherwise, I'm going to frequent the bars and then cry because I have no car and am stuck in my college's town in my apartment for the entire summer.

-Finally get a driver's license
-Get a summer job (probably at Costco)
-Finish playing every Devil May Cry game, as well as DmC: Devil May Cry
-Finish playing Metroid Prime Trilogy
-Finish watching Breaking Bad
-Finish watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and catch up on Stardust Crusaders

• Getting a summer job? Permanent job.
• Hitting the beach/pool/town dumpster that everyone keeps calling "the lake"? The Lake 4 stocked Nintendude once.
• Traveling? No.
• Going camping in the GREAT OUTDOORS? More like the ungreat un... fuck it.
• Taking summer classes? Graduated.
• Finally learn how to do a GNARLY BACKSIDE 180 KICKFLIP? Nope.
• Start a band? Tried, but then we K-On.
• Pick up DJing? (don't do this) Okay.
• Finally learn how to stand on a skateboard? No.
• Finally see your favorite band, Blink-182, play live? Probably not.
• Take a sip of your first beer and letting everyone within a 5 mile radius know how gross you think it is? Maybe.
• Get Stacy/Joey to finally notice you? I only need to notice myself.
• Stay up late every night and watch Adult Swim? I don't like Adult Swim.
• Catch up on all the anime you missed? Never will happen.
• Finally watch Breaking Bad? No.
• Catch up on your backlog of vidya? Never will happen.
• Finally find out wtf Homestuck is? Already know, don't bother.
• Getting a skateboard, getting a goth girlfriend who hates you, smoking dried peppermint leaves and listening to Wavves? Seriously, just learn to kick push already dude.
• Getting your expectations really high for this summer only to have them shattered by your own lameness? Check and check.
• Or naw? Maybe.

 

• Movies? Please watch MOON (the one with Sam Rockwell), The Way Way Back, Seven Samurai, The Red Dragon (after watching Silence of the Lambs), and Cloud Atlas.
• Games? I'm going to replay all MG games, including MGR. Which was terrible in terms of voice-acting and plot. Also replay Earthbound/MOTHER 2 and MOTHER 3.
• Books? Going to read Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. Also Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist.
• Job? Three. Babysitting, Publix, and the library.

taking summer courses until aug. 8th so basically dying. i shall live vicariously through you, my children.

 

this summer i plan to

• lay in bed all day
• work a lot so i can go to disney world

that's it that's everything

 

update: i have realized i wanna be a children's psychiatrist so there's that done at least (the elderly are also an option. mid-teens could be an option later on but lmao no not at all rn)

I have also started fixing up my resume to apply for JOBS for $$$ so I can have a steady stream of spending cash.

 

Start exercising more, Finish a bunch of anime and games, sleep.

 

• Finishing up and debuting a huge cosplay project I'm working on with friends (hint: starts with "D" and ends in "issidia" c; )
• Auditioning, auditioning, auditioning (both for stage and voice demos)
• Get a job I like (coincides with the above)
• Brush up on Japanese speaking skills (looking into a Study Abroad program)

• Go to DISNEYLAND
