    AAWWW YEEEEAAH KIDS 8)

YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS

SCHOOL IS OUT, WHICH MEANS SUMMER IS IIIIIIINNNNNN~~~

What plans do you guys have for the summer?

    • Getting a summer job?
    • Hitting the beach/pool/town dumpster that everyone keeps calling "the lake"?
    • Traveling?
    • Going camping in the GREAT OUTDOORS?
    • Taking summer classes?
    • Finally learn how to do a GNARLY BACKSIDE 180 KICKFLIP?
    • Start a band?
    • Pick up DJing? (don't do this)
    • Finally learn how to stand on a skateboard?
    • Finally see your favorite band, Blink-182, play live?
    • Take a sip of your first beer and letting everyone within a 5 mile radius know how gross you think it is?
    • Get Stacy/Joey to finally notice you?
    • Stay up late every night and watch Adult Swim?
    • Catch up on all the anime you missed?
    • Finally watch Breaking Bad?
    • Catch up on your backlog of vidya?
    • Finally find out wtf Homestuck is?
    • Getting a skateboard, getting a goth girlfriend who hates you, smoking dried peppermint leaves and listening to Wavves?
    • Getting your expectations really high for this summer only to have them shattered by your own lameness?
    • Or naw?

    Let me know, khv.

    Because SUMMER IS FOREVER 8)

I don't have a summer break anymore as I'm an adult with responsibilities.

But I think this is obligatory:

Heard this every year on the last day of school.

Already saw Blink live with MCR and Matt and Kim a few years ago suck it.

I don't do college anymore because it's a waste of time, so every day is summer break when I'm not working

    No huge plans for me.

    - Go to summer courses (I can't stand having more than two weeks away from doing work, so it's a nice way to keep my mind occupied).
    - Read Gathering Blue, Bless Me Ultima, and maybe The Phantom of the Opera
    - Get the new Rowling book
    - Watch the giant list of movies my cousin lent me (Animal House, Jurassic Park, The Abyss, Scarface, Jaws, and Wayne's World 2)
    - Complete another novella (already in early planning stages)
    - Catch up on a lot of the anime I'm behind on
    - Do an audiobook for my novella Immunosupression
    - Go to a local comic con
    - See one new movie every weeki

School doesn't get out until mid-June and summer doesn't begin until June 21.

This. Next week I'm going on a business trip for two weeks to help open a new restaurant. Then I'm taking out a loan for a new car and getting a new job as a supervisor in a different restaurant while we work on opening a new location, which I'll be a manager at. And searching for a new apartment. So...yeah, responsibilities.[DOUBLEPOST=1400643879][/DOUBLEPOST]
Obviously, the VirGiN means summer vacation. Jesus, school for you ends late. I don't think the year ever lasted past mid-May at the latest for me, high school or college.

Yeah, that's how most north-east high schools are like, including how mine was. All of the colleges here go from late August to early/mid-May though. Dunno why it's just our high schools.

    1. Schools get out on different dates in different countries, states/provinces/etc., cities, and school districts. Additionally, many high and middle schools give their seniors and 8th graders an extra few weeks off because their final exams come early. Further, we can't forget that most colleges (which some people consider to be schools) end their spring semester in early to mid-May.
    2. IT'S HOT AND SUNNY AND TOO MUCH SO TO BE SPRING. THAT'S CALLED SUMMER NO MATTER WHEN THE MAN SAYS IT STARTS. WITH THE WAY YOU DRIVE, ARE YOU REALLY GONNA BE A SLAVE TO THE MAN?

Just to give you an idea of here using this school year: Wednesday, September 4, 2013 - Friday, June 13, 2014.

Seniors' last day: Thursday, June 5, 2014
Seniors' graduation: Friday, June 6, 2014

There's, of course, an official graduation for them later (I think a week later) in a completely different building.

I dunno why, but I also found Blitzkrieg Pop to be fitting too.[DOUBLEPOST=1400644894][/DOUBLEPOST]
I always wanted to see M&K live. How were they?[DOUBLEPOST=1400644984][/DOUBLEPOST]
Add The Big Lebowski, American Psycho, and Django Unchained to that list too.

Be sure to add Lebowski. I saw American Psycho about two years ago. Liked it. Saw Django Unchained last week. Didn't like it.

Who even likes summer, though? Like, seriously. Worst. Season. Ever.

Aww, I thought it was good. Also, Her and Wolf of Wallstreet were both pretty good.

I just couldn't get into it; I'm kind of that way with a lot of Terintino's stuff. Pulp Fiction is probably the only thing I like by him. Saw Her; thought it was good. Wolf of Wallstreet was nuts, and was hella fun.

After dealing with a Polar Vortex and too many people complaining that winter was never going to end, I say bring on summer. Also, shoveling snow sucks when you're already in physical pain but you have to clear the driveway to get to your job the following day.

This was my reaction, then it shot up to 90 degrees for a week straight and felt like an oven all across campus. spring pls stay.

These are all things I'm doing. Gonna get the resume together to for ~mandatory co-op~ next summer, and just taking some time to think over stuff for the future in general.

That doesn't really have much to do with anything related to Chad's post. Schools years are different in different countries, states/provinces, cites, and school districts. Further, colleges usually end their Spring semester in early to mid May.

Remember Amaury, it's not about the date. It's about how you use it.
