Suicide...

This section has way too many things about God, so lets move onto something more interesting, like Suicide.

Suicide doesnt exactly come under my list of things to do at all, so we do people commit it? I know some of you will say that the people who committed suicide probably had crappy lives and no friends or family. But when you think about it how come some people have happy and enjoyably lives and just decide to take their lives away.

So, you can copy and paste the questions to reply and a note if you want:

There are many reasons why people might do that.
1. They hate the life they were given and can't have a due over. They just suffer a depression that they can't get out of.
2. When their partner dies. They can't move on with thier life and choose to be with them somehow (although they might go to hell).

Well the simple answer to that is i would never commit suicide. But i know that isn't the answer you are looking for, so supposing i would commit suicide, i would jump off of a very tall building. that seems like the least painful way to go.

People who commit suicide are selfish quitters. they cant deal with life, so they kill themselves and make everyone they know miserable in the process. they cant deal with the trials of life, so they don't.

I think people commit suicide to escape from all the depressing things and tragedies that they think wont stop.

Asking people how they would commit suicide is a little macabre.

I have contemplated suicide before, I think it has ran through the thoughts of the majority of people at one time or another, I won't lie there have been a couple of times I have gone past the thinking stage.

Now though, I wouldn't ever do it, it is such a coward's way out. Killing yourself doesn't solve anything.

As for why people do it? It is down to them I guess, different people have different reasons, it isn't like there is a set motive other than feeling like dying is their only way out.

 

1) Once you get your life, you have responsibilities, IMO. You don't get to just "check out". In my mind, there is NO reasonable excuse for suicide. At all. I don't care how sucky your life gets - get over it, get through it, and get on with your life. It can't stay bad forever, no matter what the media (movies, mostly) tell you. As long as you have breath, there is always hope. Who knows, you may actually go on to influence someone's life and cause them to do something great, or you may do something great yourself later. Therefore, I will never commit suicide.

1. Nope, never. I thought about it once, but never again since then.

2. People feel hopeless, worthless, and one person close to them may have taken everything away from them. Idk, that's what I think.

I wouldn't consider it either though. But for those of you who never bothered to pay attention in Comprehensive Reading class: the question clearly said if. Don't be a lazy tard and answer the (hypothetical) question.

Because of self-loathing (very seldom is this not the case) and because they are either too stupid, to self-centered or too sick to see any way out or to think of the consequences except killing themselves.
Also, I don't tend to label suicidal people as "sick" quickly so I do believe that suicide is mostly an easy, cowardly and selfish way out of your problems.

 

Jump off a building/Forced Drowning

Because they believe there's nothing to live for anymore, if you lose everything you ever wanted for no apparent reason, then they feel weak and unwanted.

If i were to commit suicide id overdose on some sort of drug.

I think they do because they feel really lonely and like they have no real reason to live. Or they feel like no one needs them anyway.

I just think they are sad in life and they are mentally tortured that they don't want to live like that anymore. *mewls* I've already had two people do a suicide. It was sad for me. -_- They said before that they didn't want to live any more longer because of teh bullying, pain, and problems in life.

 

Ooc: okay, this is my opinion, because last month, one of my friends committed suicide....that is why I said that, because he told me that he needed help, so when I asked if I could, I really tried to help him and when I left....I talked to him the next day, and that was the last time....I really miss him, but before he did, he told me that he was Weak and I was really sad that he said that and now I am pissed because of whoever dereped me and called me stupid, have the courage to admit it.....now

No reason. You can never fully understand someone. Everyone is different and everyone fights something for no reason. A fight is a fight. You win or lose. ​

 

Suicide really is something that should NOT be discussed. Because people are way too ignorant when it comes down to it. That's really all there is to it.

2) ... Because people often choose for the eastiest way to solve problems that are easy to solve.

 

1. There are so many imaginative - some not so imaginative - ways to commit suicide. Such as, hangin' yourself, jumpin' off a bridge, tyin' yourself to a lamppost with a rope 'round your neck n' attached to a lorry or somethin'...or jumpin' into a polar bear den.

I like the idea of leavin' my mark so i'd probably jump from an insanely high buildin'...go out with a splat. xD

2. I agree with most others when they say it's the easy route out, they don't have the will to continue.

Suicide is wayyy down on my list of things to do, as well. Probably past setting my own house on fire. I mean, aren't you busy? I got **** to do. =/

1. I had a dream once where the world was being overtaken by this horrible airborne virus (ebola airborne, much like Stephen King's The Stand), and it had killed several of my family members. Including my father. So I took out the gun in his safe (which I somehow found the key to. O_o) and shot myself through the head. Of course since it was a dream, it gave me the biggest migraine once I woke up. lol But that's probably how I'd do it. Very simple.

2. For a multitude of reasons. Life sucks, just got laid off, bleak outlook on life and future, etc. Personally I haven't experienced anything THAT bad, so it hasn't been a real necessity. Still, to each their own when it comes to things like killing yourself.

 

1. It'd be kind of hard for me to even think of a way to commit suicide. My life isn't perfect but I don't think that thought would ever come into mind.

2. Committing suicide is a cowardly way of getting rid of your problems. People think it's an easier way of getting rid of everything that's wrong with them.​
