go compare games with me, i played it through to the end, twice actually because my achievements glitched.

well, learn what an actual story is. that's all im saying. and BTW i did it 3 times.

im done with this thread because some people dont know how to judge a story for a game.

 

There's a difference between being a good story and a well-executed story.

 

i wasnt boasting that i'd done it twice, i was correcting the fact you betted i hadn't played through it even once, which was incorrect.

which most of the games i said were. same with RDR. i guess VDS doesnt like stories that invole epicness, explosions, and revenge, even if it is just barely put in.

 

I'm afraid epicness isn't a genre defining word, and i grew up and explosions dont captivate me like they used to, its all special effects in the end, whats to love, and the revenge card is played in every god damn game.

 

That's just another Michael Bay movie. (: except for the epicness. lol

 

Those are mostly cliches to cover up bad story writing. A good story doesn't need to rely on gimmicks like epicness, explosions or revenge to be good.

Some games don't need good stories to be good, but Loco Roco has both anyway.

 

i never said they did. i said he dislikes stories that INVOLVE them. and gampeplay makes the story. if you arent having fun, even the best stories are much less unenjoyable.

 

I do hear that Kingdom Hearts II game had a lovely plot. All of the characters were quite complex and enchanting, and the themes of the game itself certainly put the works of Herman Melville, William Golding and Charles Dickens to shame.

 

i think most of us agree, but i bet VDS will find some reason to not like it.

But reading the book is still enjoyable.

 

Not to mention that it's sorta weird to compare bad gameplay to a gun being held to your head. Now this has gone to the critical stage of comparing apples to guns.
