"I...um..." Matt's mind buzzed around. He scanned the deck for the captain, knowing about his strict rules. "It's sort of policy." Matt mumbled, still staring at his feet. "On duty, i'm suposed to refer to our passengers as Mr. and Mrs., miss."

 

"well I don't like beeing called that! it makes me feal old! I'm not an old woman!"

 

Matt nodded quickly. "I understand that, miss. But the captain is a very proud man. His rules apply to the entire crew, miss. I'm sorry."

 

"well let me talk to him...lets c who's more proude!" she said trying to hide her mischeavios grin

 

Matt stood completely still for a moment, wondering if she was serious or not. If she was, he was in trouble. "Er...are you quite sure, miss?"

 

"is she causing u trubled" A man asked him "I know she can be a handfull"

"oh daddy!"

 

"No trouble at all, sir." Matt bowed lightly. "I'm Mr. Cruise, sir. May I help you with anything?"

 

"no but I must thank u 4 talerating my girl" he said pating her on the head "besides looks like u already got her to let u help her" he said pointing at Raina's sutcase

"Oh Daddy u r no fun!"

 

Matt nodded his thanks at the compliment. "Do you have a room number, sir? If you have any bags I could take I could bring them to your room for you."

 

"room 7 and my bags r already there"

"oh Daddy I realy hate that girl...can I push her over bord?"

"no"

"Awww"

'Note to self, stay on her good side.' Matt thought as he began lugging Raina's bag towards room 7.
"We have meals at 8:00, 12:00 and 6:00 and the dining hall is open all day if you want a snack or something." Matt rattled off the information that had been nailed into his head over the last 11 years. "There is a buzzer by the bed in your room, press it to summon one of the crew if you need anything at all."

 

"do u ever see dolfins?" Raina asked

 

"Sometimes, miss. We see dolphins, grey and humpback whales, herrings, and the ocational mantaray. They come out in the mornings around 5 most of the time, miss."

 

"o boy...that means she'll be up all night so she can check"

"ok thank u very much!" she said

 

Matt struggled down the hall with the bag, taking out his master key and opening the door, stepping aside for them to see in. "This will be your suite, sir. I hope you find everything in order?"

 

"ok...where did Raina go?" he asked looking around

*Raina comes up all battersand brused*

"well u shoulda seen the butt slapin guy...he slaped my butt so he had to be punished!"

 

Matt's jaw dropped. She certainly was a handful wasn't she. He smirked to himself. " Are you quit alright, miss? Can I get you something?" He eyed the bruises.

 

"a bat? I'm not done with him!"

 

Matt's face split into a grin for a second, ready to crack up laughing, but stopped himself, trying to keep his face serious. "Um...I don't think we have a bat on board, miss. Um... perhaps you would like to get yourself unpacked. I could fetch you something to drink if you like."
