Stranded

Matt grinned. "I know. You fixed my shoulder after I lugged Mademoiselle Clarisse's bags. Remember?" He stood, putting out his arm. "Please, miss. I want to make your island...adventure as relaxed as possible. You need not worry about me."

 

"come on...all my life has been spent relaxing and I have to say I'm quite sick of it!"

 

Matt sighed. "I'll let you later if it means that much to you. But I'm on duty right now and before I can rest, I need to make sure you passengers are as well with the world as you were on board the Albatross."(<the name of the ship)

 

"ok but don't forget"

 

Matt gathered the rope from the life boat. He knew how to build a makeshift hut if needed. A good roof would be good at the moment to provide some shade. He shimmied up a tree, tieing the rope tight around the trunk. He looked back down at Raina and smiled. "Relax, okay? We got this covered."

 

*Erin walks up*

"need any help?"

 

"Thanks much. Could you tie the other end of the rope to that tree?" He motioned his head at one across from him.

Matt helped finish up the roof the passengers could rest under and rushed to help anyone that was worried of afraid. He spotted Clarisse and walked over.
"Perhaps you will need to replace the Albatross after all." He said, face glum only the slightest bit. He tried to stay smileing though it was hard.

 

"Well to be honest there is no point trying to recover it. Everyone escaped and we will compensate the passengers for their losses. I think we need to concentrate on survival and getting rescued, especially as any communication equipment has been either destroyed or lost. I have feeling we are all here for some time so I think we should drop formalities and get organised."

 

*Raina walks up to Clarisse*

 

Matt nodded in agreement. "I'll take out a group and search the area for food, water, anything we can get our hands on that may help."

 

*Erin runs up*

 

"I'll help as well. I'm no shrinking violet and I'm not afraid of hard work. What would you like me to do?"

 

ooc: my brother is waching us...

bic: Matt handed a switchblade to her. "I'm guessing you know how to use one of these. Mark our trail as we go. so we can find out way back to the shore."

ooc: I have to go but continue on if you like. My bro needs it for homework but i may be on in an hour or so.

"I certainly do. I am a competent hunter as well, so just tell me what you need. I don't just sit in offices all day."

ooc: Goodnight then. I won't be able to stay on that long.

 

*Raina walks up to her*

"I wanted to say thank you and...well...sorry"

 

"We all misjudge at times. I appear hard and cold because that's how you survive in business plus it was a job for me, not a pleasure cruise. You will understand when you are older. Lets forget it and start again. I'm Clarisse and I'm going to help out around here." Clarisse grinned and brushed her untidy hair from her face with her hand.
