Stormbreaker 2: Unexpected mission

"You alright?" Melody asked, turning around just as she left the room, leaning back around the door frame.

 

"oh, yeah, heh... get goin" he said said laughing and joking..

 

"Right, well. It'll be a straight yes or no so I'll be back in like 10 minutes." She nodded before disappearing.

 

Nate just sat and wtched some birds outside.

 

5 mintues later Melody came back in. She nodded "I've got a week provided I get proof I have a social life while I'm there. She's so weird at times."

 

"oh, wow... she's weird...... well you can you have me as a friend i guess, that's social..." he said shrugging

 

"She means a 'social' life. She's one of those weird managers who wants every employee to have a Full Life, and believes you can't be happy without a partner."

 

"ah, that's weird" once again blushing he turned around and said "cmon lets buy our tickets."

 

"What's with you? You've gone kinda red."

 

"oh, it's just kinda hot in here" nate said laughing and he walked out

 

"No it's not." She said looking confused before following him out.

 

Nate went and called for a cab, "so....."

 

"So...?" She asked

 

The cab came and he opened the door, "let's go i guess"

 

"Right." She nodded heading around the opposite side of the taxi and getting in.

 

Nate told the cab to go to the airport and waited and turned to Melody, "so... i bet your boss loves L"

 

"Hell yeah. Always a good bit of gossip about her latest 'exploit'."

 

Nate smiled, "she didnt seem like an office whore at school" nate shrugged, "actually you did at school, no just kidding, don't kill me... you were nice"

 

"I know, it's weird. I knew she'd get to the top, I just didn't think she'd sleep here way there." Melody giggled "And gee, thanks. Although... For a while I thought it was going to be the only way I was going to get anywhere."

 

Nate laughed, "well good for your bosses" he said smiling and laughing...
