Stones of Fate

"huh? explain please." Cathy said.

 

"Why me!!! where is Rob when i need him!!"Velox said "well you see this stone hold the key to transform humans into something better. it gives them powers sort to speak. I can't tell you much more, but if you join or group I'm sure Rob we'll explain it better, plus we'll teach you how to use your powers"Velox said

 

"Ow!" Laulite had absently tried to bite his hard candy in his mouth when the flame appeared. He stared at Rob. "Okay, I have to admit, that was interesting." He tightened his grip on the necklace, but smiled, "Your stone does that, but what, may I ask, ability do my stones have?"

 

Matt sighed. "Alrite. Are we almost there?" he asked.

Rob sighed. "This is my stop. I would tell you to come, but I am sure that you have to get going" rob said as he stood up, and walked off of the bus

 

"why do feel as i'm beening drapped into this?" Cathy muttered, then she said to velox "fine i'll join."

 

"Great"Velox said actually smiling

 

" Yeah that's it right there." She said pointing to a small white house with flowers in the front yard.

 

"you smiled!" cathy laughed,

 

Matt followed lilly to her house. "Nice place" he said

 

"yeah I actually smiled" Velox said "looks like this is one of my better days"

 

" Thanks." She said walking up to the door. Before she walked in she took a deep breath. " Here it goes." She said and opened the door. " Mom I'm home!!" She said. Her mom came out of the kitchen. " Oh good Lilly I need you to........ who's this?" She asked staring at Matt. " Um mom this is Matt. He's a friend from school." She said. Her mom looked back and forth between them.

 

"Ummm, hey" matt said. He was sort of nervous since he didn't know if lilly's mom would let him stay. It was a pretty big request after all

 

Laulite just stared at where Rob sat. He has had very few conversations with school mates all year, and this one had to be like that. Not that this one was bad, just a little unsettling. He was the only one left on the bus now, nobody was around. He watched as the houses seemed to grow and the lawns get trimmer. Lin was one of the few people from school who lived in this area. He saw the bus stop ahead and put the necklace back into his pocket. He picked up his book and readied for the bus to stop. When it did, he stood up and walked off the bus. He started to walk home, once again, lost in thought.

 

Cathy laughed and said "how is lilly?"

OOC:got to go, bye.

 

" Lilly you know you're grounded. That means no friends." Her mom said. " I know but I was wondering if he could stay here for a little while." Lilly said. " Why?" Her mom asked. " Ummmmmm........." Lilly looked at Matt. She didn't know what to say, she didn't want to talk about his parents in front ot him.

 

Matt moved his head in a yes notion to lilly, giving her permission to say

 

" Well his parents died and he's going to be sent to an adoption home if he doesn't find a place to stay." Lilly said. Her mother instantly understood. " Uhh yeah... I guess it's ok. He can stay in the guest room." She said. A smiled apeared on her face. " Thank you mom! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" she said hugging her mom.

 

"Thank you very much. I will try not to be to much of a bother" matt said. "Might I use the phone to call up the hospital. THey have my things there" matt asked.

ooc: sorry if I am haven long posts. I am watching "dead like me" on sci-fi. Idk, but the show is addicting

BIC: " It's no bother at all....... the phone is right through there." Her mom said pointing to the kitchen.

 

Laulite walked up the driveway towards his house. He took house keys out of his pocket and unlocked the door. He went inside and shute the door, locking it. Lin lived in a big Victorian house at the edge of his street. His bare feet didn't amke a sound as he went into the kitchen. He placed his book onto the counter and opened the fridge. He pulled out a jug of juice and, from the cupboard, a glass. He poured himself a glass of juice and picked up the note his mother had left him.

Hey Honey, your father and I will be later than usual so I have a prepared meal in the oven for you. Don't wait up for us, Love Mom.

Laulite put down his now empty glass and threw the note away. 'Later than usual' probablly meant not until tomorrow. It was becoming even more usual now, though, since his mom's and dad's business was growing steadily. Lin sighed and put his glass in the sink and the juice back in the fridge. He wasn't hungry so he turned off the oven and put the meal in the fridge. He picked up his book and headed upstairs to his room.
