Steins;Gate

Well, I've just started out watching this (only on Episode 3 though), but so far I have to say it's really interesting. The plot hasn't really kicked in gear too much yet, but I heard around episode 8 it did, so I'm getting close. I guess that's when the reveal what the Agency is?

Also Okabe's laugh is probably the best thing ever. xDD

And I think I'm becoming a sucker for shows involving time shenanigans simply because of all the ones in Homestuck. >;;

Yeah the first few episodes are rather bland and confusing but then holy crap.

Just when I thought this series couldn't get any more sad ;___; Also Okabe finally confesses haha, this episode man... so much happiness and sadness in 20+ minutes. The kissing scene was well done, Okabe finally realizes that he can't keep watching Mayuri die over and over and that he can't save both her and Kurisu in the same world line. The end was rather confusing though, Suzu comes back and mentions a WWIII? Oh god what is going to happen. Also I wonder what Kurisu was trying to say before he deleted the data.

Now that that's out of the way ... OH MY GOODNESS. This episode was just amazing. Mayuri slapping Okabe, the realisation, Makise's dad ... ahhhhhh ... I knew we would eventaully go back to the original day and see what happened behind the scenes. oh my goodness. How's he gonna do it though? red paint??oh my goodness!!!!! BRING ON NEXT WEEK!!! My thoughts are incoherent now!!

HOLY **** THAT ENTIRE EPISODE

Oh god. Makise's dad is such a giant *******. Completely new levels of *******try. To kill his own daughter just because she was...damn. And then finding out Okabe stabbed her was just hnnnnnng. But oh my god, that last scene. Okabe laugh is GREAT AS ALWAYS.

But seriously, I wonder how he's going to fake a living Kuruisu for a dead one?
Unless he was the one that sent the Dmail to himself, which then kick started past!Okabe into the alpha world line(s), and then our Okabe can move into the Steins;Gate world line.

Oh my god I was on the edge of my chair that entire episode, this show is so amazing it's not even funny. Everything makes sense now, so he did have to fail in order to receive that message from his future self. And just wow... I really have no words. LONG LIVE SCIENCE TUESDAYS.

The ending was everything I wanted form the anime. No-one died, Okabe was a bamf, that last scene with the badges and Makise and Okabe at the street and moeka in the CRT shop. oh my goodness such a good anime. And they're doing a film ... *drroolllll*

Also, I need to work on my Okabe cosplay ... now ...

Btw, Funimation got the rights, so they're dubbing both Steins;Gate AND Puella Magi Madoka Magica ... do want.

And now I need a new anime addiction.

 

Spoiler: Episode 24 (Final)

Sorry Madoka, but this show knocks you out of the top spot of best anime of 2011. What a roller coaster this series was, everything from amazing characters to one hell of a story. But anyways I'll focus on ep 24.

Like Claw said, everything went perfectly. No one had to die (though I thought Okabe was about to and nearly busted my monitor and half). He reunites with Christina. So she wasn't dead in the first episode after all... wasn't expecting that honestly. I can't really think of anything else to type at the moment, I'll probably add more later. Can't wait for the movie now.

Series overall: Dr. Pepper/10

Er I mean... 10/10.

I was about to chuck my laptop at a wall when I saw him get stabbed. And then when forced the blood out of the stab wound ;________________;
The badge scenes were PERFECT, especially Suzuha's. xD

Ad then when he met Kurisu on the street
and she got her badge
and she mentioned being the assistant
hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

Overall, I am like crying to figure out if I like Madoka or Steins better. They're both just absolutely great.
And I am really hoping the Dub captures them both well.
These series were fantastic and had you on the edge of your seat.

The moment when she said she was not his assistant, gah. So many things were set up to happen, and everything still worked out. Quite aside from forced happy endings, it was immensely satisfying. The most gripping story I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a very long time.
