No Thanks Start out friend?

What i'm usggesting is something like Tom on myspace. One of the staff sends a friend request to each new member. Just a though. It'd leave the sections cleaner like the code vault

 

How would it keep sections cleaner?

And what would be the point of having staff send friend requests?

 

It wouldn't keep sections cleaner; the only section where there are introductions are the Introduction section.

Besides, it is not hard at all to contact a staff member, even when new, and many members welcome the newcomers all the same.
Not to mention it probably being impossible unless it was automatically done, considering quite a few people register in one day.

 

This won't really work on a forums and what you are asking for in a sense is accomplished by new people posting in the Introduction area. Quite a few members respond in greeting to a newcomer. Seeing as it cannot be done on a forums and the concept of meeting new people is done in one section already, the idea this time has to be a no.

Closing since the decision is pretty well made by inability as well as lack of purpose of the idea. Thanks though for suggestion.
