Republic Commando- Death's Point

For those of you who have dial-up or just don't have the patience to watch a 30-second long introductory vid, here's a breakdown of the story. I need at least four people to serve as commandos in the Grand Army of the Republic; depending on the response I get, there will be anywhere from one to three squads. I'd prefer to keep the number of Jedi/Sith participants to a minimum wherever possible, since this IS, at heart, a Commando-centric RP.

Alright, I've changed my mind based on the lack off entries; I'll RP as the communications specialist of the squad and receive the orders. People are still welcome to join in.

Is there any...system for the numbers? They all seem to be RC- 11--. I know squads are the Greek alphabet, but I don't get the numbers. xD

Prolog

LOCATION:REPUBLIC ASSAULT CRUISER GLORY
5 LIGHTYEARS FROM THE BOTHAWUI SYSTEM
476 DAYS AFTER THE BATTLE OF GEONOSIS​

"Reporting in for duty, sir!" Five identical soldiers removed their helmets and stood at attention. In the back, behind the five soldiers, was a silent figure hooded and cloaked in brown. Jade's back itched, and he wanted to turn around to examine the Jedi- for it was most definately a Jedi behind them- but he remained at attention, eyes straight ahead, staring at a point roughly ten centimeters above the commanding officer's head.

"Your orders," the commanding officer, the admiral of this ship, slid a datapad across the table to Kyram, the leader of Gamma Squad. "You'll be slipped onto Bothawui to track down a fugitive escaped from the spice mines of Kessel."

Bothawui; planet of the Bothans. Jade remembered this from his through flash-learning on Kamino. His eyes narrowed, and he spoke. "With respect, sir, this doesn't seem like a mission fit for commandos. An Advanced Recon Commando would be better qualified."

"I don't see any ARC's here, commando. Do you?" The admiral didn't look at him. "These are your orders. Gammas, you'll be working together with RC -3138, formerly of Tau Squad."

This time, Jade couldn't keep his attention straight ahead; his eyes shifted to the left, where he saw a fifth clone brother standing at attention alongside them, but not too close. Then he moved his eyes back to the admiral.

"You'll also be working with Jedi Knight Kenshin Himoura. I've leave you six to go over your orders." The admiral's voice rose to a shadow of a parade ground bellow. "Dismissed."

The Jedi bowed and left the room; the five commandos saluted and followed Kenshin into a spare conference room.

 

" when do we get out of here im losing practise," said ashley " next time give me spare ammo "

 

"Silence, newborn," RC-4256 whispered, "you're still wet behind the ears."

RC-4256 also known as Trig to the Gamma Squad was one that followed the procedures and rules of conduct 24/7. Being the clone in charge of demolitions in this unit, he took his role in the unit very seriously. He knew that if he at anytime fumbled or stumbled with a Thermal Detonator then it would be goodbye Gammas and hello forgotten waste.

Looking at the Jedi in front of him, he whispered, "Doesn't look like much, does he?"

 

Jade's eyes widened as he turned to Trig. "You shouldn't talk that way about the Jedi," he murmured back. "They can hear things." He surreptiously shot a glance at RC-3138. "I don't know if I like this; why do we need a fifth member? It'll be like a speeder with an extra repluser."

RC-2187, or "Jade" as his brothers refered to him, was the communications specialist and computer hacker of Gamma Squad. He hadn't yet found a system that could defeat him. "And besides," he continued in a lower tone. "All of Tau Squad was wiped out. How did he survive?"

 

The End walks up to Jade and said in a quit tone, "What are you guys talking about?" The End turned his head left and right.

 

OOC: Sorry I joined late. I was sleeping...xD

"How he survived isn't the question for today. Right now, we act as one."

RC - 3913, better known as Kyram, looked at his brothers. "Alright, we all are aware of the Bothan's stealth ability, correct? If we can get them to trust us, then they'll be valuable allies. If not, this mission might not be your bowl of warra nuts.
"Jade, has the admiral given the departure time and ETA?"

 

OOC: WAK! My SW knowledge is slipping; I used to be able to recite all these names on cue; now I have to keep running upstairs to find the book where I know various things were listed.

Jade tapped the datapad thoughtfully. "We'll be departing tonight at 2200," he answered Kyram, making sure his voice was loud enough to be heard by all. "There's a light freighter in the Glory's landing bay we'll be using for insertion into Drev'starn. Drev'starn is the largest city on the planet, so of course that's where our target will be hiding," he added. "The fugitive is one Ray Pembar, an Alderaanian." He slid the datapad over so the man's profile could be seen.

 

OOC: It's okay Jade, there's a lot of stuff for us fans to memorize.

"Vor’e , Jade." Kyram faced the rest of the team. "Rest up, prepare your packs, and meet in the landing bay...at 2130. Preparations for the mission should take a half hour. And maybe you'll get to play with some circuit boards, eight-seven."
Kyram turned to the Jedi and saluted. "Sir, with all due respect, my team and I will be getting prepared. It's an honor to serve with you, though, sir."
With that, Kyram exited the conference room and headed to his room.
A city mission, hm. I wonder how well we'll get by.
