Star Trek (2009)

I'm not sure where it was exactly, but they told everyone that they were just re-showing an older movie (Nemesis, I think), trying to attract the real Trekkies. Then Nimoy came out and they showed the movie.

of course this was probably because prior to this i've never experienced star trek, ever, so i went in with no expectations unlike you losers

I saw it yesterday.

It was surprisingly good... I went to the theaters thinking it was going to be an epic failure, but damn I was impressed. This has to be the only movie I've seen where they can bring the present and future into the same time period and still make it awesome. (You'll know what I mean after you've seen it). The voice acting was good, and it was modernized so that it's not all non-action drama like most of the series is and even if you've never watched Star Trek, you can understand what's going on. Definitely beats the crap out of that new X-Men movie.

I give it a A-
