Another example of a series of awsome games made by Square-Enix.

Did any of you know? In Star Ocean 1....

    POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Marvel Frozen is the only character you can literally kill off. In Sylvavant Ruins, if you have both Marvel and Joshua in your party and you go to the room with a girl frozen in ice (Joshua's sister Elise, as called in the Dejap translation), there will be a scene in which at the end, Marvel will vanish into nothingness....

I'm playing SO2 right now. I have one game for Claude as the hero, and another with Rena as the main character. What makes SO2 cool is the fact that there are 2 separate storylines ^^

I believe so yes, It's one great RPG, shame it didn't much notice. The battle system is some what similar to KH, but with a bit more depth.

Hold on......SO3 has MULTIPLE endings? I played it over twice and got the same one...maybe I'll do it again and switch up the stuff I normally do! But to stay closer to the topic, SO3 is a great game! With a BUNCH of plot twists and a truckload of surprises (4D being one)! I'd rate it 10/10! Highly recommended for those who don't have it! And you might wanna go for the DC(Directors Cut) like I did so you can get the multiplayer (though that dungeon is FAR from easy...)!

Well it was a bit miss leading, it says multiple endings, but the main story doesn't differ, it's just the scenes with indiviual characters after the credits that change depending on how you play the game.

That was only Final Fantasy VII, and at the time that was the best they could do, you should really look more into it then that, they are very human like.

And besides this topic is about Star Ocean, not Final Fantasy.

    Shiver me timbers!

Heh, so expected of you to make this thread, dark.

What I really liked about this series is the Item Creation feature. It wasn't that good in the original, but I had a lot of fun with it in Till the End of Time, especially how they made it into a competition.

The only way you're going to be able to play the original Star Ocean is if you emulate it. To be honest, I did just that, and I'm glad I did, the game is extremely enjoyable with a great storyline and a great cast of characters.

Unfortunately, I never played Star Ocean: The Second Story, but I've heard from a good amount of people that it is a great game.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time was an amazing game to me. I loved the story, characters, bosses and I absolutely loved the battle system, such a great feature.

Overall, I'd reccomend that everyone try out all 3 of these games, if possible.

And? The PSP, despite being a portable, can still produce great graphics. But, this thread is about Star Ocean, so if you want to discuss Final Fantasy, we can take it to another thread.

    Also, 6 words per post.
