SSBB: Items on High

"A lounge huh?" Link looked around some more. "...So what's there to do around here? Any monsters I need to take care of or anything?"

 

"Nnnope. Matter-of-fact, most monsters here are sentient. Like me!" He grinned and motioned to Ridley, who was taking out the trash. "And there's lotsa stuff to do here: fight, play video games, fight, swim, fight, kick back, fight, play sports, and-did I mention fight? Pretty sure I did..."

 

No monsters or anything? nothing in need of saving?

link was silent for bit.

I don't even think I know how to relax.... with no hero-ing to do i feel so... useless...

 

"Fight?" Zelda repeated. "We have to fight? I rather that we don't..."

 

"Aw, don't be bummed out, chum!" Petey grinned. "Only the greatest warriors in the universe get to come here!"

"Aw, you don't gotta, it's just that..."

 

There was a twinkle in Links eye. "The gretest warriors in the universe!?" Link stood bodly. "Well of course! I obviously fit that description!" He said with a chuckle. But seriously though... I've never had a vactaion before...

 

"WOAH, mi amigo, just cause you're ONE of the best doesn't make you THE best. Y'see, every year there's a big tournament to see who the best is! So far, the top 3 have always been the same..."

 

Link sighed. "That's ok... fighting isn't really my thing anyway. I'm better at generic hero stuff... like rescuing princesses and slaying monsters." He said as he crossed his arms.

 

"AAAND, what did you have to do to save said princesses?"

 

"Fight..." He said as he looked down. "But I'm a pacifist at heart, I only do what's necessary to save the day."

 

"Well, you can't tell me you don't ever enjoy the power you posses..." He looked at Link's now-glowing right hand. "...The Triforce..."

 

Link stepped back a bit. "...And just what do you know about the Tri-force?"

 

"Aw, lotsa things. MH is the one who tells us the new stuff that happens. When he told us we were getting a new guy, he told us about that little doohickey as well."

 

"But it's such a burden.... I'm expected to be the big hero back where i come from...."

 

"Aw, come on. You can't tell me you don't enjoy being the hero: the guy everyone wants to be, the guy everyone looks up to, the guy who could get any girl he wanted?"

 

Link shrugged. "It's too much work... And i hardly get to enjoy any of the benefits you just meantioned. But... I guess it's a good thing that i get to take a break for a while. I just hope Hyrule will be ok in my absense..."
