Personally, I think a remake would be great.
and then LET IT REST.

A remake would introduce the beginning of it all to the younger people who started playing during Dirge of Cerberus.

They wait too long, and the people who play the upcoming FFVII release would not know what made that whole compilation a classic.

 

Funny how I own the entire compilation except for VII itself. So what I can say is that a remake would be great for me. But w.e., as long as they claim that they are concentrated right now on FFXIII stuff.

 

I have to agree Im getting tired of the FFVII. The thing I want is a FFV remake and then a FFVI remake

 

I hope they don't make a remake, I'm kinda scared they'll mess it up, just like how they messed up Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus and slightly Crisis Core, I don't know where Genesis came from in the Nibelheim Reactor, because if I remember in FFVII he wasn't there.

 

i dont' think they messed up Advent Children OR Dirge of Cerberus. i found Advent Children to be cool and entertaining, and found Dirge of Cerberus to be really fun. i never played Crisis Core so i can't say anything.

anyways, i am REALLY curious as to what they could be announcing for this game. i AM a hardcore FF7 fan, but i am honestly a LITTLE (only a little) tired of seeing more FF7 games.

if you're lucky you can find it at Five Below actually. i managed to pick up another copy from that store for the low price of $5. try looking in stores that somehow hasn't cleared their inventory of PS1 games. and i have seen some good PS1 games in those types of stores and got a lucky deal from there too.

Wow people still care enough for them to drga out this story more and more? Seriously people: Advent Children made no sense. Dirge of Cerberus ripped off DMC and MGS (deepground.. foxhound... they sound similar!?!?). Crisis Core would have even been better told if Uwe Boll or Dennis Dyack told the tale. And FFVII ripped off FFVI and was only popular because it was the first 3D FF and first FF on a Sony console. It wasn't all that impressive honestly. How about we don't delay the new and good looking SE games like DQ9 did and keep worknig on the real titles people want? This sh*t is bananas and you can sit their and think FFVII is great all want, but how about you shut up and look to the future and hope we don't get another FFXII instead of wanting them to remake this coooonstantly. It's been made, let it go.

Advent Children's plot made no sense to me, how the hell was Rufus able to survive a blast from Diamond Weapon in FFVII? And how could Tsung have not been killed by Sephiroth near the end of disk one and live? Not to mention he and Elena were attacked by Sephiroth's remnants at the beginning of the film and still survived. And to sum it up, Cloud is pretty much emo in Advent Children.

 

I'm glad that they're still interested in ff7. I would like to see a ff7 remake some day, but I also what to see a ff9 remake. :D

 

I would really like to see a remake for FF7.
