The popular series Devil May Cry and Vincent from FFVII are to star in a new game by both companies.

Said in an official press release (finding link now, i'm an idiot for closing the bloody tab) that they thought of the idea Yoshinori Kitase the game director for the game Final Fantasy VII and Tetsuya Nomura were overjoyed by the offer from Capcom after Dirges of Cerberus was a bit of a disappointment. Tesuya said:

"We have very happy to work with Hideki Kamiya and his team for this game, it will be a great learning experience for us in the genre. It will be but a stepping stone for what we can do in the future."

Hideki Kamiya the creator of the Devil May Cry series claims that they made the offer to expand their horizons and like Square-Enix improve themselves as a company. Both companies are currently starting on the project, not much has been released at the moment, but there are speculations that the storyline will be like that of Onimusha 3 where the 2 worlds are connected and both characters have been transported to the other world. So expect lots of cameos from both fronts.

    Hideki said:

"This will be risky, somes fans might be be fond of the idea, but we working hard to make the game a success and statify fans from both sides."

The game will be directed by Hideki Kamiya and Tetsuya Nomura.

    Hmmm, interesting combination.

This can go well for Capcom and SE but can also go bad.

Yeah, I'm a little skeptical, but lots of people were about Kingdom Hearts, so I won't reserve any judgment yet.

All I have to say is that Tetsuya Nomura has a crap load on his schedule right now.

EDIT: By the way, if this is an April Fool's Joke... GAH.
