don't know where this was supposed to go so I left it here........heh?

anyway, can anyone tell me how to strip off sprites from a sprite sheet, without the white in the background of the sprite?

You crop out the sprite you want.

Then take the magic wand tool and click on the white part. Then inverse the selection and presto. Drag onto new canvas

    What do you have?

If your thinking of attempting this with MS Paint, you won't exactly be able to pull it off.

If you do it in paint then good luck, cause then you are erasing pixel by pixel or else you are going to get a white spot on the border of the sprite

if you manage to do this in paint, then kudos to you, but you have to eraze 1 pixel at a time pretty much

It can be done in Ms Paint too. Just go to the Image drop down menu and uncheck Draw Opaque. That should make the white background go away.

I do everything in paint. I'm too lazy to wait for other programs to load.

    That did nothing.

or does it just look like that? you know, with the white still behind it?

The white color won't disappear, but when you drag the sprite onto another background, the white color should no longer overlap the background.
