So this is the third installation of the Bleach movie series. I won't really get into a whole lot on the plot, but it is a movie i hope is released soon in English dub.

This has been out since December 13, 2008 in Japan, so it has been quite a while. They already have a fourth movie that came out last year, but that's for another thread...

I did get a chance to watch it in english subs, and it was really good! If you have seen it, i would love to hear what you loved best about it.

    Here's my thoughts on it...
I liked the fact that Ichigo has to fight everyone again, but he has bankai and hollowfication, so he kicks some serious butt! i also love the ending where Ichigo tells Rukia that they may have met in their other lives and no matter what happens, you will always be friends. I was just thinking that before he said that and i was so surprised when he said that!

Yea, I recently saw it. (But of course you know that.) I really liked it and the fact that we at least saw almost every character's banki unlike the other movies and shows. It was sad to see the two who grew-up with Rukia die, learning that they weren't evil, just misguided. At the end with Ichigo and Rukia, I feel it gives those hoping for a IchixRuki a fighting chance. And of course Kon. I swear, that dude must get his own show!!

I watched it in subs about a months or so ago. I liked it, but I really want it in dub. I really like seeing Hitsugaya fight, even for just a little. But the main villains were kinda, I dunno, a little strange. But that girl, ungh, she drove me insane.

Okay first off, my avatar and signature pretty much says iit all.

I loved the fact Ichigo and Rukia's ending scene in the anime's first episode when RUkai transferred her SHinigami powers holds that much of a deeper connection especially during the ending of the fight between Ichigo and Dark Rukia, reversing the roles between them.

Okay onto the fights, granted, they could of had more battles with Captains of the Gotei 13 Ichigo didn't fight in the anime even if it were only briefly.

There was a plothole in the film which is how did Ichigo know Hisana? I simply concluded Rukia told him off-screen or after her rescue.

The plot was actually good as it revoled around the bonds between everyone as well as their memories (We already had this in Memories of Nobody right at the end but not throughout the film, Chad, Ishida and Inoue didn't get much screentime as in DiamondDust Rebellion and probably never will, Kon actually gotten tons of it and Hanatarou got a small cameo, the twin's tragic tale was surprsing but in the end, you felt sorry for them since their intentions were to come back to Rukia but misguided as they did have a Hollow inside them which could of twisted tehir intentions or they were so protective, Urahara actually reappears in his Captain outfit and just shows how badass he is.

hahaa yup! I just wish Ichigo used more hollowfication, that never gets old.

I really liked the movie, i thought it was a movie made for the hardcore fans. (Like us!!!) and the other ones were as well. The story was great, everything was really interesting, the only thing that bothered me was the character design of Hisana. She just doesn't look like a character that Kubo-sensei would come up with design wise...

I know lately Bleach has taken a nose dive. I am currently in
the Fullbringer Arc, chapter 459. But i think it's getting better...

I just hope the forth one will be as good, and stays up there in the ratings like the last three films.

actually, here's what I want to know.
If giving your powers to a human is taboo, outlawed, whatever the captain commander said, why would they even make it up in the first place?

What the law? Because Shinigami (Soul Reapers) and humans live in two different realms. Plus that's how Bleach started, so it was a plot device that eventually lead to the Saving Rukia Arc. Is that what you meant?

The main reason i watched this film is because When Kenpachi breaks loose....well everyone knows what happens when Kenpachi breaks loose.

I know it was a plot device to make the next arc, but I just don't see why you would make such a skill in the first place when it's taboo. Ugh, that captain commander always seems to contradict himself or other things every time I hear him

You can't necessarily 'make' a skill just like that. It could simply have been a cause and effect thing. If you put a piece of paper between the blades of a scissor and close them, the paper gets cut. When a Shinigami pierces a human's chest with their Zanpakuto and wills it, their power gets transferred. I mean, it may have had a rough original form of the skill and the Shinigami refined it.
Also, it could have been useful in the past until it led to some horrible thing and the Captain Commander/Central 46 banned it.

Anyways, haven't seen it, but wanting to.

    Actually...

Transfering your Shinigami powers to a human should only be considered a last resort and if said Shinigami is on the verge of dying, Central 46 (The political side of Soul Society) believe in upholding balance as well as the law itself, it is considered taboo since you are in fact interfering and endangering with a human's own life and could make a Shinigami who could do away with just anything as they don't hold any alliance with the Soul Society.

But Central 46 was taken control of by Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu and he could bend any law to his whim and sicne the entire 46 chambers were killed, the new higher ups were ones not corrupted by their arrogrance, but as in it said in the movie. Ichigo has helped the Soul Society so much that everyoen should overlook the crime, especially since he was the one who never seen Aizen's shikai and learns any advanced training within a couple instead of thousands of years that regular SHinigami, even a genius or most talented born in Soul SOciety would take to develop so far.

If you count Filler Arc's, he saved Soul Society from the Bounts as well as from Amagi's misguided belief that Yamamoto killed his father.

Plus, you got to consider the order the Soul Soicety has to be in and not give any weaknesses since they are highly praised for keeping the balance and keeping Souls safe to pass into the afterlife, Yamamoto also has to consider the possible outcomes of what could happen since he has lived since building the Academy so he got to make sure both worlds are safe.

But abck to transfering, I believe it was made to be a breif transfer of power and the Soul Reapers would wipe the person's memory when they fulled regained it, Rukia was different since her gigai held the Hoygoku and wasn't regainign anything, especially since she never returned for a while so she could of gone rogue.

um, you kinda lost me in that second paragraph. Frankly, I'm glad Aizen killed Central 46. Those guys are so stuck up, and what's really stupid is that they can't fight or anything, the captain's and other soul reapers are more important than them. At least in my opinion. I just get so annoyed when someone tries to act like their higher than someone else just because of a position. Aizen did one good thing, and that was killing those guys

Well the Soul Society has to have structure. and to the best of my knowledge, this is how it is:

    Spirit King-

Soul Society is ruled by a king. He commonly leaves the running of Soul Society to the Central 46 Chambers and Nobles. He lives with his family in the Royal Palace in a separate dimension in the very core of Soul Society, which is protected by the Royal Guard. The King does have a specific system of "speciality duties" which are actively carried out but the exact nature of these duties is unknown. The dimension can only be opened with a tri-pronged golden key fittingly named the Royal Key (王鍵, ōken). The location of this Royal Key is passed down verbally from one Gotei 13 Captain-Commander to the next, the current holder being Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. According to Rangiku Matsumoto, no Shinigami has ever seen the king.

    Nobility-

Another part of the government are the Noble Houses (Noble Families), especially four of them, which are considered to be the highest of them all. The lower noble houses all serve one of the four each.

    Royal Guard

Also known as the Zero Division, it is made up of former captains of the Gotei 13 who have been promoted to this level. Only captains of the Gotei 13 know of their existence. They are said to have considerable power and tactical knowledge. Only the Royal family presides over them, the Central 46 have no say in them what so ever.

    Judiciary-

Central 46 (中央四十六, Chūō Shijūroku): The Central 46 serve the Shinigami royalty (the ruling class of all Soul Society). They are made up of 40 wise men and 6 judges, selected from all of Soul Society. They are sealed into an enclave in Seireitei called Seijōtōkyorin (清浄塔居林) which no one else may enter, regardless of their military or civilian status. They act as a supreme judiciary organization whose authority puts it in direct control of the legal system. They handle all rulings on Shinigami and souls who have violated prohibitions. Their orders are absolute and no decision has been known to be overturned.

    Laws-

It is against the law for a Shinigami to give their spiritual power to Humans.

It is against the law for a Shinigami to use forbidden Kidō.

It is against the law for any citizen of Soul Society to create weapons of a dangerous nature not
sanctioned by the feudal government. To do so is treason.

It is against the law to attack a captain. To do so is treason.

It is against the law to commit terrorist action(s) or attempt overthrow of the balance of Soul Society. To do so is treason.

It is against the law to commit murder.

It is against the law to kill a Human that a Shinigami has not been ordered to kill.

It is forbidden for a Shinigami to acquire or attempt to gain Hollow-like powers.

It is by ancient law that two Shinigami cannot hold the same Zanpakutō. They must fight for the honor of bearing the spirit, with the spirit going to the winner, and the loser being executed.[6]

It is against the law for the Gotei 13 to meddle in the affairs of the noble families unless the family in question breaks one of the laws of Soul Society beyond a shadow of a doubt.

It is a crime for a Shinigami to remain in the Human World longer than a certain time limit.

    Punishment-

Exile: Certain crimes allows for the punishment of exile, commonly stripping a Shinigami of their powers and banishing them to the real world.

Detention: A punishment not well known among the citizens of Soul Society is the detention of high-level Shinigami. It is commonly reserved for those who have either broken the law, quit the Gotei 13 or those who just seem dangerous and mentally unstable (as per the government's interpretation). This is carried out by the Onmitsukidō.

Imprisonment: The Central 46 can sentence a Shinigami to be held in an underground prison for a set amount of time. The prison has eight levels, which prisoners are confined in based on the severity of their crimes. For the use of forbidden Kidō techniques, Tessai Tsukabishi was sentenced to be confined in the Shugo, the 3rd level of the prison. For the crime of treason, Sōsuke Aizen was sentenced to be imprisoned in the 8th level, called Muken.
There are several forms of executions in Soul Society, although only two have been revealed:

Spirit-sealing pit: The spirit-sealing pit is an ancient form of execution in which Shinigami criminals are thrown into a pit walled with sekki sekki rock – a type of stone that absorbs spiritual power, preventing those nearby from using their powers. Hollows are then thrown into the pit with the criminals as the means of execution. The practice was considered too barbaric and discontinued.

Sōkyoku (双殛): The "ultimate punishment", Sōkyoku is a form of execution usually reserved for those with extremely strong spiritual powers, namely Shinigami captains. The Sōkyoku is a giant halberd that utterly destroys a soul on contact. When released, Sōkyoku takes on the form of a phoenix, its true form, called Kikōō. The Kikōō has the destructive power of one million Zanpakutō, and that power is multiplied by a factor of 10 at the moment it pierces its victim. It was destroyed by Jūshirō Ukitake and Shunsui Kyōraku.

    Military-

The armed forces of Soul Society consist of three independent main branches: the Gotei 13, the Kidō Corps, and the Onmitsukidō.

    Gotei 13-

The Gotei 13 (護廷十三隊, goteijūsantai; 13 Division Imperial Guards, or 13 Court Guard Squads in the English dubbed version) is the organization which most Shinigami join. It is split into thirteen divisions (hence the name), with several divisions having certain specializations. The 4th Division is the medical/supply division, the 11th Division is the combat division (specialization in swordsmanship), and the 12th Division is the research/scientific division. The 9th Division is in charge of newspaper and magazine-related duties. It's unclear if the other divisions are specialized, as the four above are the only ones who receive any significant attention apart from their members. Additionally, it should be noted that Soi Fon is in charge of both the 2nd Division and the Onmitsukidō. The Gotei 13 somewhat seems to have superiority and little authority over the two branches (i.e., Soi Fon, the Commander-in-Chief of the Onmitsukidō and Tessai Tsukabishi, the former Grand Kidō Chief).

    Kidō Corps-

There is currently little information on the Kidō Corps (鬼道衆, kidōshū) (known as the Kidō Force in English), due to the secrecy in which they operate.

    Onmitsukidō-

There is little information about the operations of the Onmitsukidō. They are currently lead by Soi Fon, who is also the captain of the Gotei 13's Second Division. She succeeded Yoruichi Shihōin in both posts.

Hope that helps and make you even more confused.

I knew most of this already. I just hate people that act like their all that just because they make the rules. I swear, if it had been me in Urahara's place when he was exiled I would have just taken a sword and killed them all right there. I just hate those guys.

I'd still go after them if it were real. I would follow them and everything and finally get rid of them...and then blame it on some random soul reaper :P

But you know, I want to know something about the movie. If the hollow that's the cause of everything slices you with a tail and takes your memories, where does the scythe come from? Is it basically a manifestation of that power or what?

I think what happened was a "mutation" if you will. Homura and Shizuku died defending Rukia from the parasitic Hollow, but were revived by absorbing it into their bodies in Hueco Mundo.

Rukia's Flashback showed the one soul reaper infested by the hollow, almost like Kaien Shiba. So my guess is that's not how it was meant to be with Homura and Shizuku, it was like a parasite. In Rukia's flashback, it is explained that as the hollow killed the kids, it accidentally fused with them. being confused and scared, it teleported itself and the children back to Hueco Mundo. and the rest is history.

yeah, I remember that, but what I don't understand is how that power became physical. Even if it fused with them, how does something like that actually become a weapon? My mind just doesn't get it

That is kinda confusing. But Kisuke said that they "learned" to control it. Maybe that meant they could create the scythe-tail into a weapon.

That's possible... I'm not entirely sure how everything played out, i don't think it's a plot hole, but you never know... I do remember watching the flash back and seeing the kids drenched i some sort of puddle... it wasn't blood, it was more like ooze, prolly from the hollow.
