Hey, all your suggesters and such...why not split this section into 2 parts? Approved and not approved? That way all the members can just look at approved and see what's been suggested and what's going to happen about it, and the staff can look and see what they have to work on?

Everyone wins, and Kay likes the idea already. So...thoughts?

I love the idea, for one thing no-one ever really looks at the sticky thread. I know it would be a lot of work but I don't mind doing it if it gets approved.

I say yes to this, it will make it easier to view approved/unapproved threads and will help organisation in general. Plus it will make it easier to see what ideas still need working on.

This is an awesome idea, having a separate section with each thread will allow members to quickly scan over the titles to see if their suggestion has already been not approved. It also means that a thread can simply be moved when locked.

why wasnt such a great idea thought of before?

    this will help greatly.

in my expirience i can say so...cause when the search button isnt helping....its not easy finding a thread upon piles of suggestions.

You can just lock the threads that are resolved. But making a section would be pointless, just more clutter. If someone desperately needs more talking into a suggestion, they can make another topic.

Great idea. I had that sort of thing bouncing around in my head for a while but never really thought it was worth mentioning.

    I'm all for it.

I like the idea, although it might be kind of unneeded. I mean, who even uses the search function before they post a suggestion?

Edit: v Cronoking's post below speaks the truth. v

So this is kind of what you mean...

Any suggestion that get's passed or rejected get's put into a sub forum from this one, correct?

While we're at it, let's put "Accepted" and "rejected" in the titles of the suggestions depending on what happens. That way people can just go in and look at whats been suggested.

It sounds nice, but if people cant be bothered to look through a sticky, I dont see why they would look through dozens of individual threads.

Well for one thing a section is easier to look through than a sicky that never gets updated >_>

A section would be easier to update and easier to keep an eye on.

Besides, it is easier to search in a section of unapproved suggestions than it is to search the entire suggestions section.

Sounds good to me to be honest. :>

If I understand this right... You want two subforums? One for the accepted and another for the rejected (maybe a sticky in each that lists the topics closed), while this main section contains the topics that are still being discussed over?

nah, this seems pointless to me. if people won't read one sticky or use the search function, i seriously doubt they will check whether their suggestion has been made before. but if there were 2 sections, where would they post new suggestions?

Here. I'm pretty sure he was suggesting to add two subsections for approved and suggested, and leave this section for new ones and ones that are still being looked over. I agree with this suggestion. People almost never look in a sticky anyway.

Awesome idea, it'll be easier to see what suggestions have failed, as the disapproved suggestions sticky isn't updated often... Which obviously makes it harder for people to see what not to post.

As long as you put a 'No posting' barrier in the approved and disapproved sections to stop spammers ;3

Not a bad idea. That way we could be more organized and we would have less repeated suggestions in this specific section.
