Spirox War

Doku turned her phone screen off and looked at Valinton. "I already have my ride coming, he will be here soon enough." she spoke. Grabbing Valinton's hand, she lead him trough the "STAFF ONLY" door and headed back to the surface. Up top, the same car from before had arrived. Sitting inside, she looked at the same man from earlier sitting across from her and Valinton. His gleaming eyes looked angry as he fanned himself hard. "This wasn't meant to happen..." he remarked, closing the fan and glaring at Doku. "You are not injured, are you?" he asked. Doku shook her head, "No, my Lord. Only a little shaken." she responded. In reality, she could go for a nice, long soak at home. "I would hope not, seeing as you had this brute defending you." he frowned. The car began to drive away as she leaned onto Valinton. The car bumped slightly here and there, but otherwise it was a smooth, relaxing ride. The ornate man gave a look at Valinton from behind his fan, seemingly scoffing at him.

The car stopped at the edge of the Idenshi district. In front of the car was a very traditional looking Japanese home. Other than being surrounded by a great fence, it looked rather normal from above. Doku waited for her Lord to leave, as well as Valinton, before she attempted to leave. Unfortunately, she had a little difficulty. Waiting for her Lord to head inside, she looked at Valinton. "Please help me, Val..." she reached a hand out, great pain apparent on her face.

Running as fast as he could, he glanced back and found Darius giving chase, boned arm ready to stab him. "Swiss--FUDGE--CHEESE!" He shouted, dodging random pedestrians and zig-zagging through light poles. He even jumped as he ran and spun to kick back a trash can towards him, landing safely and continuing his sprint. Darius would catch up soon, and it looked like the other one would, as well. Either way, stand and fight or run and get caught were both stupid options and he'd probably end up dead.

Turning in to an alley, he looked straight ahead and found a dead end. Skidding to avoid crashing, he looked around and spotted a fire escape. Using his remaining momentum, he charged towards it and jumped up, reaching the ladder. Climbing frantically, he ran up the stairs as fast as he could. "C'monc'monc'mon!" He yelled, hoping to reach the roof before they tried to cut him down.

 

[/url]The reactions he'd gotten from the two of them only led to another, less subtle, chuckle. Oh this was going to be fun, he had something that he could tease them about. While he wouldn't do it every single every single moment he got, it would be done at the best times for the joke. Upon hearing the voice, he turned his attention to the man asking about some kind of favor. "And what would this favor be exactly?"

As unexpected as this turn of events was, Haru was at loss in terms of what to do next. Normally his teacher would've told him to help the girl regardless of the situation, but odds were more likely that he'd be more spiteful and jealous that he'd gotten her number. Still if there were as big of a threat as she was making them out to be, then fighting them two on one wasn't the smartest of ideas. So for now he decided to heed her warning. "If you say so." Fortunately the guy running was providing a good enough distraction for him to sneak away.

Making his way through the park, Kaied couldn't help but notice the girl seemingly sitting by herself. Was she waiting on someone or something like that. It didn't quite seem like it, still he wanted to know for sure so he approached the girl. "Is there something I can help you with miss?" He asked.

 

Valinton glared at the man as he gave him dirty looks from behind his fan. He gave him a low growl and continued to stare out the window. When they got to Doku's house, he helped Doku out of the vehicle and then began to walk with her toward the house.​

 

Walking along, Doku lead him to the front door of the main house. Stepping inside, she removed her shoes and walked on in. Walking along, she ignored the whispers that she could hear coming from some of the other people in the house. She opened the door to her room and stepped inside. Her room was rather plain, although she had a desk close to her bed, the other side of her room was filled with books and papers all over bookshelves. She had a wardrobe sitting next to said bookcases also covered in various things. From ingredients to plants, she seemed to have brought home some of her work. Doku walked to her bed and sat down on it. Scooting back, she laid down on the bed and finally sighed. "Sit at the desk chair if you want to. Or do not, it is no matter to me." she said. Laying there for a moment, she sat back up and looked at Valinton. "Is there anything you wanted to talk about first?" she asked.

If Alcer had thought Darius would stop because of pedestrians, he was sorely mistaken. The Left Hand picked up speed now, this chase quickly becoming less of a game and more of a simple hunt for more food. As he ran by pedestrians, he couldn't help but wonder why the alleyways were so popular all of a sudden, but there was no slowing down. If a civilian stepped in front to stop him, to help Alcer escape, he would run them through with his bone-blade just as he planned to do to Alcer. Right as the trash can came flying at him, Darius did a small hop to avoid it and continued running, no speed lost whatsoever.

The moment Alcer got onto the fire escape, Darius had almost caught up to him. The madman's speed wasn't particularly quick, only slightly faster than Alcer's, but if they continued in a simple chase the Left Hand had no doubt he would catch him. Fortunately for Alcer, Darius only had one arm able to grab things, and so his climb was slightly slower than his prey's, giving Alcer a little more time to escape. Pulling himself up with sheer determination using his right arm, the psycopath began launching himself upwards until he was only seconds away from the one he chased. He could practically feel the soft flesh against his arm, piercing through the skin, could practically smell the delicious smell of blood flowing through his nostrils, and this only caused him to go further, bloodlust taking over more and more as he did so.

Caleb slowed down a little after escaping the black market's auction hall. He was still wary, worried he may still be being chased, but he didn't feel right fleeing as they were with Oerva still looking as though she were a prisoner. Brandishing his sword again, he did the same motion to the shackles around the girl's wrists as he had with the ones on her feet previously. "You are no longer a slave, no longer a prisoner, so it would be wrong to continue with you looking as though you are" he explained simply, as if he expected her to ask why he was freeing her from them. "What they were doing, selling slaves as though they had no right to a free life, it was horrendous and wrong, and while I breathe I will do what I can to prevent acts like that" he added, predicting a question such as "why did you free me" or something along those lines. He looked to the distance, where he could see his small house. "If you're willing, I have a safe place you can stay" Caleb offered finally.​

The girl stared at him as he continued to talk. Really he was sweet, saving her and everything. The question of why didn't come up. In fact, she responded with something else. She quickly grabbed him and hugged him tightly, tears rolling down her eyes. "Thank you." Was all she said to him. She didn't want to let go of him now. She was grateful beyond comprehension for being saved.

"If you don't like hot food, you didn't have to order anything. I'm the same way with cold food after all so I knew your feeling." She smiled, trying to comfort Pele for not making a decision she really didn't want to make. The food finally came. Celsius took a large bite out of the sandwich. Moments later, he face began to glow a vibrant red. The heat was amazing inside her. It radiated warmth throughout her body as it moved down into her stomach. "I love this stuff." she exclaimed as sweat began to drip off her.

The man began to search through the library of Ethel's mind. Her past, her present, her desires, her loyalties. All were to be inspected by Damnation. Surprisingly, she was true to her word, not struggling in the slightest to resist his intrusion. The time it would take to research her completely would be a while. Damnation could only assume things outside were going well and the auction was going without a hitch. Little did he know... Little did her know...

 

Xero looked up to see a mutant walk up to them, she looked at him confused as he asked them to do him a favor, "Huh? Well it depends on what kind of favor... I mean, we don't even know you."​

"My name is Reno Fawkes," He began. He was beginning to have second thoughts on asking them for help but he was already here, so he would ask anyway, "I've been hearing rumors about an underground mafia group and I wanted to go investigate... But seeing that it would most likely be suicide, I wanted to ask for help in my investigation."​

Valinton walked in and removed his boots seeing that Doku did it and followed her to her room. He closed the door to her room behind him and stood there leaning against it, thinking. He looked at Doku with questionable eyes, "Who was that..?" He asked, "In the car with us, the one with the fan and giving me looks..?"​

 

Pele's face hadn't changed at all compared to Celsius. Eating her food, she only sat there and enjoyed it. "How come all we've done today is eat food?" she asked Celsisus. While her food was delicious, she couldn't help but think that Celsius was enjoying hers a little too much. Seeing as she already ate something cold recently, she wasn't due for another cold food for a few hours. "What if I called ya Frozone?" she joked, sipping on her cold drink. The food was delicious and she could actually feel the heat that some of it had. It was a good feeling too, unlike what she's been used to.

Doku looked at Valinton. Thinking about it, she considered how she could go about the subject without making it sound rather odd. She concentrated for a few minutes, devising ways and finally talked. "He is my Lord. His name is Takehiko. However, we are not allowed to call him that unless we are given permission to do so. He has only allowed two people to call him that since he became our lord. Both of which are his own parents, so I doubt anyone else will be soon." she patted the bed next to her, motioning for him to not be a stranger. "He gave you looks because he was hoping nothing would happen. I do have to tell him exactly what happened later, but for now I just want to relax." she sighed. Today was a very exciting day, what with seeing that girl and gaining somebody to do the cleaning for her. The auction and the human. Everything was getting pretty exciting now. Her body stiffened as she felt another movement in her stomach from the child. It hurt a little and her body just was not having it today. This was the first time that it actually hurt when she was standing up and moving around, Doku hoped she wouldn't have to stay in bed for the rest of the pregnancy. Especially with the job she was tasked with.

Looking over to Valinton, she stared at him. "I love you." she said.

Valinton's body tensed as Doku said those three words. How was he supposed to respond to that when he hardly remembered anything that had happened that night? He only gave her a stern look and looked to the side, "You don't know what you're saying..." He said in a low, quiet voice.​

 

"I know good and well what I mean, Val." she said, standing up. She walked over to him and looking up at him. She stared into his eyes with determination. She meant what she said and if he didn't understand that, then what was the point in trying? "I am not lying, I do know what I am saying and I am saying that...I love you. And you do too, or have you forgotten?" she remarked. Beginning to frown, Doku looked down. Maybe she was wrong? Maybe she was getting the wrong vibe from Valinton and that he truly did not love her like she thought he did. It was weird, seeing as she was really trying to not mess it up. Both in front of Damnation and in private. From the morning after when she made them breakfast and they were trying to figure out what happened up until this point, she couldn't stop thinking about Valinton and what was going to happen after this child was born. "I really...do..." she muttered, staring at the ground now.

Ayako walked down the streets of Kikei once more, after getting caught by the coward at the auction. She was so confused as to what was going on. Auctions? For Mutants? She had never see anything like that before. It was frighting but either way it sparked her curiosity. She looked around. She felt sort of bad for them, but at the same time was indifferent. She flicked back her rainbow colored hair. She couldn't imagine being sold. She shivered. What a world they were living in today. No one was safe. She suddenly felt sick. "Uhhh, what am I going to do?" ​

 

Valinton only looked at Doku as she spoke. He saw the determination in her eyes and quietly sighed. He had felt different ever since he woke up the next morning after that night. He had felt happier when Doku was around him and less angry. Plus he rememberd saying that he would protect her. Valinton put a hand up to her face and leaned in to kiss her. ​

 

Doku let him kiss her. She let him and even kissed him back! Unfortunately, she stepped away from him, grasping her arms. She looked up at him. "I did not get to finish...Val." she said, sobbing a little. What came next was probably the biggest surprise to her and him. She didn't want to tell him yet, but she knew now would be better than later. "I am...I am using this child...for a reason that is not...right." she admitted. Wiping her eyes, she sniffed a bit before standing up straight. "When this child is born, I will have to kill it. This child will be born to just die soon after. I am trying to create a potion. A cure. That will be used to cure on person of their Spirox or Mutation." she said, frowning. Looking at her stomach, she began to worry that Valinton would leave and not want to do anything with her now, because of what she just said. Placing her hands on her stomach, she patted it. No matter what, she was going to have this child and it was going to be used to save another person's life. "Regardless of what you say, I will do this. You cannot stop me...it has to be a newborn...it has to be a child conceived by a Spirox and a Mutant." she finished.

​

 

Valinton stood there silently in shock as Doku told him everything. He then looked at the ground and turned his back to her with his fists clenched. His voice was full of anger and disgust as he spoke in a low tone, "So everything that's happened... was a lie. It ment nothing." He concluded. Before he would even let Doku do anything, he slowly took out one of his katanas and then turned to point it at Doku's neck, "I should kill you where you stand..." He then looked at her stomach and then pointed the blade at it instead, "Better yet, kill the experiment that's growing inside you..." His eyes had full intentions in doing so. Valinton wished that he could do this but he only had one thing holding him back... He then slowly put the sword back in its sheath and glared at Doku, "However... I made a promise... That is the only thing protecting you right now..." He said quietly then turned around and stormed out of the house.​

All Ethel could do at the moment was just sit there and let Damnation go through her memories. 'I meant what I said... I would do anything to get who I once knew back...'​

 

[/url]"A mafia group?" There was a clear amount of skepticism in his voice as he spoke. As far as rumors went he didn't pay them any real attention. That said, he did hear about some of the rumors floating around, but never gave them a chance of being true. He sighed before thinking about it. Sure he was and can be reckless, but those incidence involved something that without a doubt existed, going after a rumor was something different. "Is there anything else you know about it?"

"I see, well do you mind if I ask you something." He paused to hear her answer. Judging from how she answered his last question, Kaied doubted that she would take some kind of offense to it. "Have you heard the rumors about a mafia group?"

 

Caleb stood still for a moment, eyes wide in shock. He had expected anger, or at least dissapointment, for not being able to save the other slaves, but the reaction he'd gotten was far from it. The girl seemed genuinely thankful, and this was a reaction Caleb himself was pleased with, but at the same time he couldn't help but feel bad about the other slaves, the ones that hadn't gotten away. "There's nothing to thank me for. What Damnation did was something I will never forgive him for. The lives that may be lost for my failure to save the others today, their blood is on my hands. I'll do what I can to prevent it. The mutants deserve the antidote, but selling innocents' lives is not the way to do it" he responded, not quite sure of exactly what he should say. He was thankful that the mask hid his shock at her reaction, and now pointed in the direction of his home. "Over there, that's where you'll be safe" he said, now beginning to slowly walk over towards the home.​

She smiled toward Caleb. He clearly didn't know about the others. Nobody did except for the other prisoners. "Don't worry about them. I planted a seed in their wrists that will break steel and not harm them. They'll be free soon if not already." She wanted to reassure him. Really she was the only one in danger of being put into slavery. She couldn't use the seeds on herself. Oerva looked over to the building and nodded. She lightly kissed him on the cheek and ran towards the building.

Pele made a good point. All they did today was just eat food. But really, what was so wrong about that? Celsius had a black hole in her stomach basically. She might have been an ice person, but her metabolism was quick. Really she was almost always hungry all the time. "I just like food. Food is gewd" She said good in a strange accent almost. "Also just call me Celsius. I know its a unit of temperature, but so is Kelvin, and I've met a lot of Kevin's."

Damnation released the connection between her and he. Her intentions were of truth. But Damnation saw no change towards himself. A black past he could not recall, nor one that was one he wished to deal with. Now he was a god of mutants, that was how it would remain.

"You are clean, Ethel. To your disappointment, I could not sense myself through your memories. My old resurrection is neigh. At least I am aware the boy I saw was me in a sense of appearance. You get one dinner with me. That is all."

He opened the door and walked out to see vines scattered across the black market. "...What the hell happened!" He looked at one of the mutants. His hand came crashing down on his neck as he repeated himself but louder. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE! ANSWER DAMN YOU!"
The mutant spoke of the events that occurred during the auction. Damnation released his grip of the mutant and slammed the wall. "Someone contact Valinton. We are going to hunt that masked human down, as well as the girl. When we find them, terminate them." Damnation had an idea on who it might be, but he'd wait on it. Very few humans knew of the location. First would be to track them down and have Valinton try and get a reading on them.
