Spirox War

Darius looked at his brother for a moment. They had both failed. He had lost his prey, and Damion had lost their meal. "He was a fast one. I slowed down momentarily and he escaped, but we will find him, and it will not happen again. The next time I find him, I will tear him apart limb from limb and feast upon him" he said with a sinister tongue. He waited for a moment before continuing. "So, where will we start our hunt?" he asked.

After all the confusion, mostly made by the stranger just suddenly appearing -how did he even do that?- inside of his home, Caleb tried to piece things together. So, in response to him freeing Oerva and the other slaves, Damnation had taken a hostage? Either he could turn himself in, or he could in fact do what had been suggested by the lunatic and actually try to break Doku out. Either way, there were risks. If he turned himself in there was every chance Damnation could just simply kill him outright, and if they attempted to rescue Doku there was a possibility she could be hurt. He turned to look at Stephen. He was the strategist, he was the intellect there, he would know the answer, wouldn't he?

Stephen was attempting to read Beuce's mind. So far, he was struggling immensely. He could hear nothing, he could find no memories, no thoughts, not even basic information like his age, who was this guy? It was like there was nothing at all! "Nothing at all..." was that an echo? "Was that an echo?" Stephen was about to give up, but then at last he heard something that was not the echo of his own thoughts. "....cheeeeeeeeeese" it was nothing vitally important, but it was progress. Getting out of the mind of the one he would forever think of as The Abyss, Stephen turned his attention to the situation at hand.

"I propose a rescue. Getting yourself captured would only slow us down, Caleb, so if we are to save the female, which I by no means think is necessary, then the direct approach would be most appropriate. The bumbling fool is right, we should go in there and break her out ourselves. I have neither the time nor information at my disposal to compose a strategy to do this, so instead I will accompany you. With my telepathy, we should be able to detect and engage any potential threats oncoming and bring them down swiftly" Stephen explained. "I will tell Arioch to wait outside, prepared to stop any from following us if needs be, and if everything goes according to my calculations, we should be fine. When you are ready, we can depart" the telepath stated.​

Oerva was baffled from where this man came from and what he was saying. People were just popping up everywhere like weeds. Get it, weeds? its funny cause she's a pla- The green hair girl hid behind Caleb as the mind reader began to speak of a plan. She couldn't do much right now being that there was no sunlight. She also still didn't trust... what did that guy call him... Toothless?

"I-I... um... I'm not sure if I'll come... Toothless kidnapped me after all. I don't know if I can trust him." She stuttered. Another thing on Oerva's mind was if the mind reader could read her mind as well. She was more plant then human now so what would he hear? Would he hear her cells crying out for sunlight yelling photosynthesis in a repeated pattern? Or would he actually hear her thoughts right now? It was all just a bunch of questions. He'd probably answer her questions if he could read her mind.

Damnation said nothing to the words he was given. Punishment was in order. He moved in closer to him and placed his hand on him. "You shall be spared mental torment. However, you are to search for them and bring them both here tomorrow morning." A creature of night having to walk through the day was enough of a punishment. If he refused, well, Damnation would just kill him like the rest.

Once he removed his hand, an earthquake occurred. Though, it wasn't an earthquake at all, in fact it sounded like footsteps. "It's close... the Colossal..." Damnation spoke. If there was one mutant that needed to be feared more than he, it was the Colossal. "It's above us... I didn't expect it to get this close to the government building..."

 

Ethel thought for a moment before she realized how hungry she was. But she was also a bit tired.. "I guess we can get something to eat.. then sleep." She said.​

Valinton sighed. These people obviously had no idea what Damnation was capable of. They couldn't possibly think that just walking up to Damnation and simply just talking to him would do any good.They would be killed if anything. He stood there for a moment and growled a bit as he thought.

Valinton looked to the plant girl as she spoke. He didn't bother saying anything as a retort. It was true after all... He turned to Stephen and spoke, "I suggest being prepared for a fight once we get there. Damnation will have a fit seeing that I've made an alliance with a Spirox User and two Humans..." He said as he walked over to the door frame and retrieved his sword.

Valinton stopped in place, for he could feel a slight trembling in the ground. He stood there quietly for a moment before hearing a loud roar in the distance that wasn't far away at all. His eyes widened as he realized getting back to the markets would be much harder now, "Why the hell did it come here...?!" He said to himself. Valinton turned back to the group, "If you guys plan on living as we get back to the markets then you need to do exactly what I say." Valinton sheathed his sword and listened for more signs of the colossal mutant, "IT is close by..."​

Dead gushed at the monstrous roar. Hearing Colossal stomp around always put butterflies in her stomach. "Ooooh~" she said with glee. "Colossal...is happy! He must have ate someone or something delicious." she wiggled around. Dead readjusted herself and cleared her throat. As much as she relished hearing Colossal roar, she had to keep up appearances. "Eherm, well, with that out of the way, we should probably be careful as we leave. Of course, we COULD just stay here and eat at the kitchen. If there is one, at least..." she grumbled. Yes, she enjoyed hearing Colossal roar, but in the end, she would never dare go against it. Certain death is the only thing waiting for you if you go anywhere near it.

"Maybe we can even meet this Damnation guy." she nodded. Turning around, she walked out of the room and stepped into the hallway. She knew nothing of this place, but she decided to wander around and take a look at it while she still could. Who knows if she'd ever need to come back here some day. There was another door here and it was slightly open. Stepping towards it, she heard a threat being made towards someone and she could only frown. "Jeez..." she said to herself. Turning to Ethel she asked, "Who's room is this?"

 

Caleb turned and looked at Oerva. She seemed very worried, which made sense. "He will not harm you" he said, doing what he could to assure her. He stood there for a little bit, before walking back into his room and getting his things. He put back on the costume he had worn when he had broken Oerva out, and grabbed his two blades. He hadn't thought he would need it so soon, or maybe hoped would have been a better way of putting it. He then walked back into the other room and stopped for a moment, staring at Valinton through the mask. He didn't like the mutant, and his dislike was growing at an incredible rate. Shortly, he stepped past him and stood outside, waiting.

Stephen was still standing inside the room, taking everything in. He didn't have much of a strategy for getting Doku out, so perhaps it would be better to listen to Valinton. He could always monitor the boy's thoughts to see if he planned on leading them into a trap, yet at the same time the idea didn't sit well with him. The mutant had earlier not blocked his powers but weakened them a little, what if he managed to block them completely? He closed his eyes, deep in thought for a minute. "Whatever it is will be handled, and we will move on without interruption. We will listen, and follow what it is. You should know though, mutant, that should you turn on us or attempt to lead us into a trap of any kind, I will go for your head first, and then Doku will suffer immensely for your betrayal" he threatened. Usually Stephen was much calmer, but the idea of someone being able to evade his telepathy was one that frightened him to no end.​

An evil scheme had just hatched in his mind. The Colossal was a terrifying creature, one that everyone form of life in this city feared. That was a power he wished to control. The question of how was another hurdle. Now why the beast was so close was most likely caused by Damnation and his killing frenzy... a perfect opportunity presented itself due to his rage. He began to give a sinister laugh for no apparent reason towards Zylen.

"I have a plan. You my friend are going to help. This will be your punishment. I need you to distract the beast long enough for me to make contact and put him to sleep." If they could put the beast to sleep, perhaps they could gain control. Damnation could run through the files of dreams of that beast's mind. If he could find its strengths, weaknesses, desires then he could gain access to the most terrifying creature known to mankind.

"Let's go!" Damnation began to storm out. He had run into a quite distasteful looking woman. "Move aside, wretch!" He pushed her aside and headed outside. He had no time for small talk right now. The beast could be seen in the distance. He ordered out tosome of the random NPC mutants to gather the dead bodies on the streets and bring them to a specified location just north of the base. "Let's make you my loyal pet... I always wanted a dog."

Oerva stopped talking as she heard the monster in the distance. The other two didn't seem to have any clue about who it was... no... WHAT it was. She looked over to Valinton, fear engulfed in her eyes. "I-its here... Colossal is coming... we cant go near the black market now... it'll kill us all!" She yelled the last part, trying to make it how clear of a threat this really was.

Dead grumbled as she was pushed to the side. "Watch it, you *******!" she yelled after him, fixing her hair and outfit. Blinking her eyes, Dead could have sworn she saw something move in the shadows. Shaking her head, she finished fixing her clothes and stomped over to Ethel. "Looks like Damnation just left the building. That means you have free reign I bet. Go anywhere you want so long as it's down here and all." she commented to Ethel. This could be pretty interesting, getting to wander around this new place and she couldn't pass up the opportunity. "Since you obviously have been here before, why don't we go explore? Or you could at least show me around." she said, placing her hands on her hips.


Doku's dreams were pretty eventful tonight. Instead of them being nightmares like they were earlier, they were full of her and the baby inside of her. Doku dreamed about staying around with Valinton and raising the child together. It was then that, towards the end of this dream, that she woke up. "What a dream. If only it were possible to live a life such as that." she sighed, sitting up. She checked the clock on her phone to notice it was nearly morning. How long had she slept? "It has been only four hours..." she sighed, pressing buttons on her touch screen. Going to her address book, she found Valinton's number and called him. She waited until he picked up, if he ever picked up, and began to smile. "Hello Valinton..." she would say. "Yes, I am at home...I was sleeping a little bit. Would you happen to be in the neighborhood? If not, could you at least come to my home and sleep for a little while with me?" she would finish, before getting off the phone and laying back down. She would then fall back asleep until Valinton came to her home or until morning arrived.

Beuce knelt down to be at eye level with Oerva as she began speaking of Colossian. She called it Colossal, which it was, but that wasn't the thing's name. He put his hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eye. "Just leave big bad shadowface to me. I'll show him a thing or two about OP." He said, giving her a confident smile. One might not have understood exactly what he was saying, but the main point of it should have gotten through. He intended to go against Colossian alone. "You guys just go and rescue whatsherface. You won't have to worry about that thing. I'll keep it busy but don't dilly dally. It's your big finale sha-la-la." For some reason, he began singing the end of his sentence as a tune. Was that from something? Like...Something to do with mermaids? Hehe...Mermaids...With that he felt it necessary to barrel roll out the window instead of using the door. Landing on the ground, his long coat flowed in the air behind him. "I'm batman!" He ran toward the direction the stomping which shook the ground. You know, for something so big you wouldn't think it'd be that hard to spot. Right? Shut up it's very hard to spot. As he made his way there, he could see some small movement in the shadows and up in the distance, he saw some dude that looked like a Pokemon. "OI! You up there with the face which has debatable existence with the hair and the coat thingy i mean for all we know you could just be this floating eye with clothing! It could happen!" He called out, running up to Damnation. Right now, he it wasn't just his words that caused confusion. His very presence resulted in disarray of one's thoughts. He had his mutant power turned up to full blast. The very air around him was beginning to distort and bend from the utter chaos this man inflicted on thought patterns.

Damion thought about the question momentarily. He had no idea where to find Alcer, but Zage...She would probably be in the area for ordinary humans. She didn't seem to possess any special qualities. "She can't have gotten too far by now. We should start searching where the humans dwell. That will be our starting point. Once we've recaptured her, we'll go for the other one. And this time, we'll make sure she doesn't escape." Said the right hand wickedly. Apparently, he had something devious in mind to prevent her from escaping him again. ​

 

For some reason, his eyes opened in panic. What was going on? Why did he suddenly wake from his rather refreshing nap? Did something happen nearby, the events of which loud enough to enduce his rather rude awakening? Questions flurried through his mind as he realized his awkward position. He slid to the side and fallen sideways on to the pavement. Maybe that was what caused it...
He pushed himself up, stretching and yawning. Alcer took a look around to see if there were any signs of danger. If there were, he couldn't see any.
Mumbling complaints, he took another glance around and realized something important. “Ah, crap.” As he ran through Idenshi, focusing only on getting away from a cannibalistic murderer, he’d gotten himself lost deep in the depths of the city. “God. Damn it.” He groaned, placing a hand on his forehead as he made his way towards God-knows-where.
He wasn't sure how long he walked, but as he took one more step, he realized a stinging pain growing in his abdomen. Looking down, he yelped at the sight, and then remembered. "Oh yeah..." Pulling out the screwdriver out of his stomach(With a few grunts of pain), he saw skin grow over the open wound and felt his powers fix up the rest.
"Ah, advanced healing...I love you." He smiled, pocketing the screwdriver as he headed unknowingly towards the bridge leading to Dynami.

 

Ethel looked at Dead and then back at the ground, "I'm not sure what we should do. I mean, I don't know if there's a food place here.. and the other food places in the city are surely closed." She began messing with a lock of hair.​

Valinton gave Stephen another glare. He was slowly getting more and more irritated with him as he kept giving him "threats" about this and that. His phone began ringing but he didn't hear it and didn't pick up. He was too preoccupied with the giant mutant they were about to face.

He saw Beuce already head out and head toward the Colossian. He turned back to Caleb and Stephen, "You need to stay close to me at all times as we face that thing. If we split up, there's no doubt that it'll go after one of you and then devour you." He said as he pulled out both of his swords and began walking out of the home. He figured they would follow and he then began running toward the sound of thunderous footsteps and roars on the rooftops.​

- COLOSSIAN -

The nearly invisible colossal mutant was lured into Dynami by the sent of blood from Damnation's recent killings. He followed the sent until he got to a pile of bodies north of the base. His invisibility cloak had dissipated and he was now fully visible as he walked closer to the bodies. He lowered his head to smell them and then moments later he began feasting on the buffet that was literally laid out for him.​

Damnation was glad to see the beast finally coming over and eating the piles of bodies he so happily supplied. However, this was only temporary as his mind began to grow fuzzy and his concentration neigh. It was as if the entire world had just become a distorted space. Once the person who came near him he looked over and his head began to spin. The hell was with this damn guy? His words were nonsense, his face was a blur and.. just damn...

He tried his hardest to focus, and with a small burst of focus, he rushed Beuce and placed his hand onto him, putting him to sleep. "Now what the hell are you..." He began to enter his mind... He immediately released his grip and fell back, his hand shaking. "Wh-What are you!?' Damnation saw everything.... All of the references... all of the attempts to shatter the dimension they were in. Everything about this man was beyond his comprehension. "I... I never reading your mind... ever again." He stuttered, shaking the experience off.

Now that his definition of psychological warfare had just been redefined, he moved over to Colossian quickly. His hand rested upon the large beasts head as he began to eat. "Good boy... Eat as much as you like." Damnation noticed a human fleeing from the beast. He quickly went down, stabbed him in the chest, and brought him back to Colossian. "Have some more." His hand was rested as such that if the large beast attempted to attack him, he could instantly force it asleep. If that were the case, he could use an inception technique to implement himself into joyous memories with the beast, forcing a change in memory and behavior to react to him as his master.

"We're going to find the damn kitchen and we're gonna make some delicious food!" she exclaimed, raising a hand in the air. "Damn you night time! I wanted to eat great food!" Dead shook her fist. Turning around, she clutched Ethel's wrist and began to drag her around the entire black market. Eventually, they found a kitchen. It wasn't in the best of shape and everything seemed really old compared to the rest of the city, but she didn't dare try and question it. Sliding her sleeves up, she revealed that the black scales that made up her claws reached to just below her elbows. That is where it looked as if her skin had torn and all that was left was a scar. "Alright, let's see what's in the fridge..." she said, walking over to the tiny, beaten up fridge. Looking inside, she found plenty of food that didn't seem too worse for wear. "Well, I guess I could make some stu surprise..." she mumbled, grabbing a big bowl from the counter and piling all the ingredients she needed into it. Walking back to the same counter, she pulled a chopping board off the wall and a knife from the holding block. "So you won't mind me making some stu surprise, right Ethel?" she commented, chopping away at the ingredients.

 

- COLOSSIAN -
Colossian felt something land on his back and he turned around and growled very loudly at Damnation and Zylen. He became even more aggressive when things touched him while eating. Colossian attempted snapping at Damnation and Zylen but his neck wouldn't bend back far enough to reach him where he was. He then began shaking his back and violently moving around.​

Ethel shook her head, "No.. but I am quite tired.." she said as she began to nod off with her head propped on her hand. ​

Dead was in the middle of throwing all of the ingredients into a large pot when she turned to see that Ethel was nodding off. Humming, she began to devise a plan. Dead decided to toy with Ethel and see how much her mind could dispel mental attacks. Or even influences from an outside source. Turning on the burner on the stove, she stirred the mixture happily and turned to look at Ethel again. She looked so cute right now. So impressionable. It was a little sad but very tempting for her. "Wish I could do something to her. It'd be a lot funner than making all this food and suddenly my guest is falling asleep..." she grumbled. "But it doesn't matter, I wonder if she'll like my song..?" Dead took a deep breath and began to sing an extremely creepy edition of Twinkly Twinkle Little Star.

The way it echoed off the walls in the room and the general emptiness around them made the song even more creepy than it was in the first place. Dead enjoyed singing it, she hoped Ethel enjoyed it as well. The food simmered away as she continued to sing the song, not caring if Ethel found it creepy or not.

"I know what I said." Damnation yelled back to Zylen. "The big lug here though was a lot easier to reach then I originally anticipated." He continued to hold on as the large beast tried to shake him off. It was almost humerus that he couldn't reach he or Zylen. All that muscle just proved to be a downfall. Now what do you do when I dog decides to struggle, you give them a light punishment and command them to stop, then pamper them with some attention and a reward of good effort.

The positive of his mutation was Damnation had become incredibly light which made him very quick. He moved over to the pile of corpses and grabbed several of them, only to end up back on Colossian's shoulder. "If you be a good boy, I'll give you your food back." His voice rose in pitch. Damnation was seriously treating this mutant like an animal.

"Zylen, I seem to have control of the situation. While I am taking care of Col over here, stand guard at the Market. I have a feeling there is going to be an infiltration. That confused man was most likely a mere distraction. Oh, and congratulations on your promotion." Damnation ordered. Zylen had just replaced Valinton. Zylen was a loyal minion after all.

 

He wasn't sure how long he'd walked, but it felt pretty long. Alcer realized he was heading to a totally different place when he came across a large, circular wall. "What's this doing here?" He muttered, looking left and right. He quickly decided to walk along it, hoping to arrive at something. "This can't just be some random complete circle...Naah, way too big to be something as pointless as that." He said to himself, walking for a few minutes before arriving at a gate. He noticed that it was being protected by a small amount of guards. "Uhh...Hey, guys." He said awkwardly, waving at them. A few of them didn't seem to notice, but one asked, "What is your business here?" His grip on his weapon seemed to tighten, causing him to raise his hands in defense.

"Whoa, whoa, I'm just...Wondering what's behind here. Kinda new to the city..." The guard seemed to relax at Alcer's answer, but his expression remained stern. "I'm sorry, but without proper identification we can not let you through here. Behind here is an area where humans live. It is Dynami, and trespassers will be punished." Alcer frowned at the last bit. It seemed as if they suspected him of passing through without clearance. Not like he'd do it anyway, it didn't seem to be worth his time. "Alright, alright, I'll be on my way, then. Thanks..." He said, turning around and walking away. His frustrations were slowly growing. If he didn't find a place to stay, he'd be roaming the streets for some time. Then again, it'd still be better than what he had back at home. Atleast here, he was with people like him.

That didn't stop him from letting out a weary groan. "Oh God, this is taking way too long." He nearly yelled. If he couldn't find a home, then a hotel could do it...if they even had any here.
