He did...thats why I wish the movie had been longer, an extra half hour of Venom time wouldve been really nice....



Anyhow, apparently Topher Grace already had to gain 24lbs of muscle[and he still looked tiny ] But even in spite of the fact that Venom is supposed to be this big guy, I think it worked perfectly. Hes kinda like Parkers alter ego, their lives sorta paralell. I thought that made it ALOT more interesting. Its kinda like, it Parker had let the symbiote control him, this is what hed become. I dunno, I really liked the fact that he was similar to Peter.

This movie sucked huge wiener. I'm really disappointed at how little screen time the greatest Spider-Man villain ever got, as well as how quickly he was killed off. They gave the Green Goblin a whole movie. They gave Dr. Octopus a whole movie... Dr. Octopus for Christ's sake! And then as soon as they introduce Venom, they kill him off like no one gives a **** about him. I'm sick of seeing this love story bull****. I didn't go to see Spider-Man 3 to see Peter make a homosexual connection with Harry, or break up with Mary Jane. I already saw that **** in the last movie. I came to see Venom kick *** and take names. Raimi really ****ed up this time. I've lost all respect for this film maker. This movie was quite possibly the worst nine dollars I've ever invested in.

 

Spider-Man 3 B+

[moulin rouge]Generally I liked it[/moulin rouge] Great movie It's probably the best Marvel...NO Super Hero movie I have seen yet! But of course like everything it was not without it's flaws. First would be Venom, His voice remained virtually unchanged after his transformation, The claws were a horrible edition, he definitely was not as big as he should have been which makes no sense since he was CG the majority of the time, I don't know it seems like they are able to take small villains like the Sand Man and Doc Octavious and make them totally awesome, but big time villains like Venom and the Green Goblin get totally screwed up....

Another problem for me would probably be the fact that they kinda messed up the Black Spider-Man suit, All they really did was make it black, The kept the little web lines and they did not even add the new spider symbol, Also there was way less spider-man than there was Peter Parker, I mean there was no snappy come back or funny dialog that I would normally expect from the character.

Now onto the good, I thought the fight sequences were totally awesome, Sand Man was done so well, Especially his first scene when he gets his powers and then when he uses them, His fights with spider man were done so well, I can't believe how good it looked the CG was truly breath taking, Another good fight sequence was the two Peter vs Harry fights, The first was great but the second one was an all out brawl! I thought the dialog (Besides MJ's constant whining) was pretty good, Especially when harry was trying to mess with there relationship. I also enjoyed the humor in this film, I loved how silly Peter got when he started using the symbiote suit, It sure did enhance natural dorkiness, I was in stitches in all of those scenes up until he slapped MJ (Which I say she sorta had it coming) I really loved when he started dancing at the club and the scene with the french guy in the restaurant (Seriously Tobey Maguire must have loved working on this movie), Besides that this movie had the best Stan Lee cameo in any of the marvel movies

Like I said earlier Generally I liked it and I would not mind seeing it again , This definitely has to be added to my DVD Collection (Which is very small might I add)

 

i saw the midnight premier, and frankly, it was way below my expectations...yes venom did need more screentime, but SO DID SPIDERMAN! there too much of that emotional drama crap going on....those whove seen the movie know what im talking about.

if anyone waited untill after the credit (which i always do for this reason) you would have seen a clip of a laboratory with a bunch of test tubes, and it zooms in on one and you see eddie brock screaming as he's being enveloped in the venom suit.

I speculate that that is Dr.Connors lab A.K.A. future Lizard villain........

 

Well, it is kinda obvious what will happen to Dr. Connors.

I find the fact that you see Eddie Brock being enveloped by the small bit of the symbiote to be quite weird since it never did absorb anyone.

just saw this movie yesterday.. Great Movie!!! Made me laugh many times! but didnt like that harry dies in the end, i thought that spider-man & Goblin would make a great team :D

 

So if this is the case, he will reapear, no?
Venom will get lotsa screentime which would explain why they didnt give him that much here.

BTW i was yelling PWND in the movie theater when Peter and Harry fought for the second time and he blowed hes head whit that flying thing XD

 

YEAH! I NOTICED THAT TOO! BEFORE THE MOVIE EVEN ENDED! EXCEPT IT'S NOT GOING TO BE VENOM! It's... going... to... be... CARNAGE!!!

THAT DANCE WAS FREAKING HILLARIOUS!!!

i thought that was one of the most gayest dances since........ Justin Timberlake!!!

 

None of the villians had enough going on to make a whole movie based on them. Harry had been developed throughtout all the films, so all that happened in the film was the most you could do with him. Sandman, well it wouldn't of been enough screentime to justify a whole movie.

And as much as everyone loves Vemon (I know I do) if you look at the comic compared to it's length Vemon's part isn't that long, you have Parker going evil from then vemon being the after effect of that, and without dragging out Vemon's part that's all you can do with him. Other than revenge Vemon has no past to explore or no need for redemption just pure evil.

...Btw, Harry's new 'toys' just made Norman look like old-school.

 

Most people on IMDB (Internet Movie Database) seem to think that it was crap, I'd give a 8.9 out of 10, I just wished Venom had more screentime.

 

Yeah it had a lot of bad reviews, but i thought it was great.
