    ...

Why would the creators kill their money ticket?

i mean, they've been earning loads since then. Why would they just kill him??

    Lol.

Whatever way you put it Johnny, comic books have a strict rule of Death is cheap.

Patch Spidey through the Sorting Algorithm of Deadness. See what it comes out with.

Cause of death: No one could survive that. 2
Genre: Back from the dead, death is cheap. 1
    Body Found: Never found. 3
Reaction: I assume it is a montage. 4
Last words: (Don't know, haven't read it)
    Characterization: Protagonist. 1
When did he die: This Arc. 1
Died and came back: I've lost count. 1

I don't know too much about Spidey, but from what I can see, he's already got four ones there. He seems safe. If we calculate it ignoring the last words row, we get him with a score of 1.86 (2dp) which means that he's returning, quite possibly soon.

Besides, First Law of Resurrection always wins out, and Spidey has already been around for a while, meaning the writers like him.

Also, just a mask being left behind? Too suspicious. In the genre, just a mask means nothing. Not to mention it is almost impossible for something to completely annihilate a head inside a mask without destroying the mask. Fair enough, he got completely annihilated.

I'm not saying that he even survived. I am saying that we will see spider-man again. It may be years, but eventually someone will retcon him back to life. It's happened to other heroes before. I suspect it will be months, not years.

Anyone remember Spider-Man Unlimited? The first episode of that he faked his death and left his shredded mask behind. So either he really is dead and they just did something from the 90's and hoped no one would notice or he's some place else.

Well, the point is that they still managed to continue the series, which they probably still will for spiderman. Its just too popular for them to stop now.

I don't read comics but I can tell you this much:
Well known enterprises would not kill some of its most famous characters for no reason.
I mean Spider Man is quite popular with all those movies, so it would be pointless to kill him.

It already says "To be concluded" in the 2nd comic that Johnny Stooge posted.

Which means it really is going to end.

It's funny how you guys are saying that he's porbably still alive when it said fin. Fin means the end. He's dead. End of discussion.[/B]

It could mean the end of the series. But not necissarily the end of Spiderman.

I mean, theres always "SPIDER-MAN INFINITY".

Well it could be the end of that volume, the end of that arc or the end of that series. Spider-man will cheat death somehow.

Johnny, I have a question. What is the canon for comics like? Is each series its own universe, and spidey's death in this one doesn't affect the next one in the slightest, or does this mean that Spider-man is gone from everything?

You mean will Spider-man's "death" be shown in Iron Man comics, X-men comics, etc.? Yeah, it will. Marvel Comics all have the same overall continuity, but there's different canons. Mainstream continuity, Ultimate Marvel, and a few more.

Anyway, Spider-man had a vision before about his demise and he was wearing his "final costume," which was just gloves, his mask, and an reversible jacket. Leo something or other, the superhero tailor, came up with the idea recently (I think it was recently) which means Spider-man's end is coming, but I doubt it'll be this soon. Unless he WAS wearing that costume at the time of the explosion. And it still doesn't say which continuity it is

All depends on what you're reading. Books like Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America, Invincible Iron Man, Dark Avengers, etc. are connected to each other, sharing a universe. It's even more explicit at the moment with the Dark Reign storyline going through all these books at the moment.

Marvel Knights books are strictly non-canon and there's also the Ultimate universe which is covered by all the 'Ultimate title' books or now they'll be 'Ultimate Comics title'.

I'll be honest here, this isn't the regular Spider-Man book. It's from Ultimate Spider-Man, but as it stands this is from the last issue of that book. As far as we know, Peter's dead. They plan to bring the book back as Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, but it may be someone else under the mask.

if hulk was there then he would have grab spider man and he could be hurt and near death but then he takes him to another maveal book and makes him trys to make him better and it can take about 6 months to 1 year then he can change his name and suit and go back or start a new hero and if this is not true then they will make a new spider man show like allways

    DON"T DIE SPIDEY T-T

    This^
Didn't Spider-Man see a vision of his final moments alive? I also heard he would have a different costume in the end...If that mask is from the ol' red and blue, either they made some last minute changes and its over (lol) or they havent actually ended it yet.

Oh...that changes everything. As long as he isnt dead in the original title...never liked the ultimate books...story and design were sort of weird in my opinion...

    Well
the plotline for that issue was
Depicts the events that lead Spider-Man to Ultimatum including the return of Vulture and Spider-Woman. After Peter, MJ, Gwen, Kitty and Kong go for a night on the city, Aunt May is arrested, and taken into a police precinct, for questioning. The Ultimatum wave floods Manhattan, and millions die. While Kitty gets everyone out of the train, into safety, Spider-Man stumbles upon the Hulk. After this, Spider-Man and Hulk save some people from a burning building. Then, Hulk turns back into Banner and believes that he has caused the enormous amount of damage to New York, and while Spider-Man tries to calm him, he turns back into Hulk and attacks Spider-Man. Just as he does this, Spider-Man sees Daredevil's fist coming out of some rubble, but he arrives to find that Daredevil is dead. Spider-Man then goes to Dr. Strange's house to find that a magical seal that keeps monsters trapped has been broken, and monsters are pouring out onto the streets. He is then plunged into a dream by Nightmare, but this stops when Hulk attacks Nightmare, repeatedly punching him. Hulk then causes a huge explosion which Spider-Man is caught right in the middle of. Helicopters chase Hulk away after attacking Spider-Woman who arrives after seeing the explosion. Kitty shows up with Spider-Woman, who searches for Peter. Kitty finds a torn up Spider-Man mask, but no body. She then brings it to MJ who is at Peter's house along with Gwen, Kong, Aunt May, and Mary Jane's mom. The end shows everyone mourning Peter's death

    The next issue:
The upcoming mini-series, Ultimatum: Spider-Man Requiem #1-2 written by Bendis and art by Bagley and Immonen, would explore the lives of supporting cast of the Ultimate Spider-Man after the crisis of Ultimatum as how are they are living their lives without the webslinger, such as J. Jonah Jameson's eulogy to the apparent fallen hero and Peter Parker's loved ones' grieve of his disappearance. The story serves as a prologue to the upcoming release of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man

And the new series, Ultimate Comics: Spiderman:
The second volume will be written by Brian Michael Bendis and will be drawn by David LaFuente. It will start out with Spider-Man dealing with Mysterio.

So obviously he does live, HOWEVER, that list bit of info I couldn't find a source for the information, so it might change

I never got the spiderman series because all the villains were SUPPOSED geniuses when they never thought of using the bug spray
    that kills spiders.

Johnny sounds like the expert and that means spidey is alive

    bug spray+spiderman=x_x
