How does a ripped up mask prove he's dead?

You know comic book heroes have over dramatic death scenes then somehow cheat death.

Usually when a ripped up mask is the only thing you find of the person. They either died, or quit.

Dr. Strange's house? It probably transported him to some other dimension or something.
Unless he was wearing the "final costume".

That means he's not dead. He left the mask behind either out of shrewdness (to appear dead) or because he had no time to take it.

Strange's house blew up. This wasn't portal magic or whatever the ****. This was **** everything up magic. Everything in the vacinty was wrecked to **** and Spidey was in the epicenter and copped the blast head on.
Hulk was there too, but survived because he's the ****ing Hulk.

The next issue has absolutely no dialogue and no ****ing Spider-Man. They search high and low and find **** all, apart from the mask because he wasn't wearing it.
Kitty Pryde phases all up and down the joint and guess what, no Spider-Man.

 

Oh, damn. He really is dead :O No more spidey nananana!!!

 

Well, there was all the hype when Batman died but in the end they released another issue where he survives. I predict the same outcome.

 

Damn, I'm not sure whether to believe you or not. I betchya if they don't show any evidence of Spiderman actually alive within the next ten issues (max), then he's a gonner. Just wait and see, Spiderman will prevail. I hope...

Otherwise all is lost...He probably decided to quit his job, committ suicide, or got fired so that the modern superheroes with lazers for eyes can rule the world &not those epic characters we've grown to know and love.

 

This is difficult to explain to someone who hasn't read the issues in question.

In essence, he's both dead and alive. But for all intents and purposes, Bruce is dead and **** is now Batman.
