"That chocobo should consider itself lucky."
"Where did Mei come from? She kinda looks like Cloud."
She barks a laugh. "Hardly."

 

"She's Cloud's daughter."

 

"Oh, during that time. Orochi, don't you find it strange her fur is black just like darkness?"

 

"So what? She acts nice."

 

"Before your parents were together, Cloud transforms into a wolf and found a pack. Your mom thought he was doing something behind her back and uses the darkness to kill the wolves. Mei's a wolf and her fur looks like darkness."
She nuzzles him.

 

He nuzzles her back.

 

"Your dad isn't up yet. Do you want to go back once I regain my energy?"

 

"That's fine."

 

"Whose room is this?"

 

"The traitor's room."

 

"Huh? What did you say?" Something is drowning out his voice as she fights to stay awake.

 

"I said this is the traitor's room."

 

She falls asleep on the ground.

 

He snuggled up to her and rested his head on her stomach.

 

"Be careful Orochi. She's not just half wolf, quarter vampire and quarter jenovian, she also have darkness with her."
"The darkness blocked your voice from reaching her keen ears. It is starting to surface to protect her. Just like Nyx."

 

"I'm not going to harm her, so why is it blocking me?"

 

"I have no idea. The darkness has a mind of its own."

 

"I won't let it take her away from me like Nyx took my mom."

 

"I know. I'll help you but I doubt she's going to be in a coma."

 

He wrapped his arms around her neck.
