"Cool! How do you know how to speak my language?"

 

"My son and I have a mental link which means I know what he knows and vice versa."

 

"I like being here with you guys. It feels like I'm with my mommy."

 

He smiled though his ears went flat against his head, betraying his true feelings.

 

Mei lies down between of them, facing Sephiroth. "Daddy is kinda scary when I first met him."

 

"Lots of people think I'm scary if you're talking about me."

 

"You're kinda at first but something made me change my mind."

 

"Well you are somewhat a descendant of mother."

 

After a long glaring contest, he leaves him alone. "Finish showing her around?"
"I'm not quite... related to you?" Her ears twitch in confusion.

 

"I'm trying to explain the whole Jenova cell concept to her." "You have some Jenova cells in you, which makes you a quarter related to us."

 

"Oh!" Her ears shows she's excited. "So we're kinda related!" She licks his face happily. "I don't feel alone anymore."

 

He smiled. "Me neither."

 

She childishly plays with his ear by biting it. "Let's go play!"

 

He sat up with her on his head and walked out of the room.

 

"Wow, everything is so high!" She makes sure she doesn't cover his eyes.

 

"You'll grow up fast and you'll see the world like this all the time."

 

She laughs to herself maybe not this high. "So... what are we going to do?"

 

"Do you want to train?"

 

"Yeah!" She replies.

 

He lowered his head to the ground and she slid down his nose. "What do you want to work on first?"
