"There's a wolf's den but it is unoccupied so you can stay there. To be honest, I don't want to return back to them until I'm stronger."

 

She started walking to the den.

 

He feels like a doll in her arms. "Are you going to tell Jenova that I'm staying here with you?"

 

"Already done."

 

"I would like for you to teach me whatever that's useful."

 

She curled up on a rock in the den with Malik leaning on her stomach. "Like what?"

 

"Things like survival and combat." He enjoys the attention he's receiving from Ocean. It is almost like he's hers just the way between his mom and grandpa. She's quite different but will fit into the family if she wants to.

 

She licked his cheek like a dog would. "Just let me rest for a little while."

 

He giggles softly before his eyes start to droop. "Yes, mother." He mumbles sleepily.

 

She draped an angelic wing over his body. "Did you hear that, Cloud?"

 

"No, I didn't hear anything."

 

"Your son called me his mother."

 

"Really? That's good for him. His real mother wants constant attention from her dad. As long as he's happy, then I'm fine with that."

 

Her eyelids drooped. "We're in the wolves' den if you need us."

 

He transforms himself into a wolf then heads to Jenova.

 

She looked over at him. "What is it?"

 

"I want to know where her species come from. Something like that have slimmer chance to live without the right food for their diet."

 

"The way they're created is a vampire casts a curse on a dragon's egg before it hatches."

 

He looks up at her questioningly. "A curse?"

 

"What about it?"
