Sora's Darkness

He could hear them and blushes in embarrassment. Malik turns around to face him. "It goes outside of your walls, grandpa. Do you want me to fix that?"

 

"It doesn't matter."

 

He starts working on the walls. "How about various forage?"

 

He flew down next to him. "Huh?"

 

"What am I saying? I meant plants." He finishes the wall then moves on to the bridge. "I'll make the path difficult for wanderers but it'll be easy for us. How does that sound?"

 

"That sounds good. I don't think we'll get many travelers around here though."

 

"You never know. I read the Beauty and the Beast and the heroine's old father wander into the castle by going through the forest." He fixes the bridge then moves on to the gate.

 

"I was thinking that any travelers that come this way would be frightened off by how dark and imposing the castle is along with the garden full of alien plants."

 

He turns his head around to look at his masterpiece. It is true it is scary but there's something bothering him for those aren't. "What about those daring ones? Always have to look out for those."

 

He nods. "What are you going to do to make it harder for them?"

 

"Something intimidating..." "Jenova, what kind of creatures did your planet used to have?"

 

"The kinds that would normally be considered myths. Dragons, chimeras, manticores, basilisks, cerberuses, hydras. I could go on."

 

He hangs his head. "Which one exists that we could tame and still be fierce?"

 

A white dragon that was about the size of a human teleported near them. It had four wings, two angelic and the other pair bat-like with the right side being white and the left being black. It had a mane of silver fur running down it's back to a tail with a razor-sharp arrowhead tip and mako eyes with snake-like pupils. "I tamed this vampdragon when both of us were young."

 

Just looking at the magnificent creature makes him feel like his own age as a child than a mature one. "Can I pet?"

 

It nuzzled his hand.

 

He giggles then pets the vampdragon affectionately as the fear washed away.

 

It purred and it's tail wagged back and forth.

 

"What's your name?" He asks the vampdragon the closest he could find as he continues to pet.

 

"Ocean." It replied in Jenovian as it's ears that were fins perked up a little.
