Sora's Darkness

She collapses on the floor.
"Kaa-san!" He rushes to her side.

 

"Too much blood loss?"

 

He nods. "There's no other explanation."

 

"What should we do?"

 

He lowers his head. "I don't know."

 

"Blood transfusion?"

 

"I guess." He mumbles.

 

He picked up her wounded hand and held it against his still-bleeding chest.

 

"Cutting herself, acting like a wounded dog, and hates physical contact. What do you call this?" "Sorry you have to witness this." He apologizes to his brother.

 

"I think we broke her spirit."

 

"Spirit? I don't understand."

 

"Once when I was working with Sora, someone tortured him so badly that it broke his spirit and he was acting just like this."

 

"I don't know the meaning of 'spirit'."

 

"Different people describe it in different ways but it's basically your will in my view."

 

"Are you saying she's going to die?!" He asks furiously.

 

"Don't ask me, I'm not a scientist!" He snapped back.

 

"You said her will is broken!"

 

"That doesn't mean it can't be fixed."

 

He looks down at his mother and the transfusion have no effect. "Explain yourself!"

 

"You and my younger version brought together my sanity from hundreds of tiny black shards, why can't we do the same with her will?"
