"Has she eaten recently?"

 

"I don't think so. She's acting funny besides being blind."

 

"Funny how?"

 

"Not doing her duty kind. A lot of her subjects are questioning if she's seeing someone."

 

He snarled. "She had better not be without my knowledge."

 

"It is hard to tell, papa. She can be sneaky even if I'm there. The cook says she's eating less and less."

 

He took Sephana into his mind. "Tell me what is going on. Now."

 

She flinches. "I'm just having nightmares, father."

 

He wrapped his arms around her. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

 

She continues to flinch. "Because I'm afraid."

 

"What are they about?"

 

"I can't tell you because someone threatened to kill me."

 

He growled and narrowed his eyes. "Who?"

 

"I would've told you his name but I don't know who it is."

 

"Can you tell me what he looks like?"

 

She shook her head.

 

"Why don't you stay at the castle for a while and see if that helps?"
