She waits until it settles in then blinks a few times to catch a brightness. She cries out in pain as she covers her hands over her blue eyes.
Mei slashes Sephana's back then smirks.

 

He tuned down the brightness in his mind until it was just a dull glow. "Try again." He cast a healing spell on her before picking up her and his son and teleported back to his room. "Mei, stop."

 

She mentally growls at him then teleports after him and her prey.
She shakes her head, fearing she would come across her attacker and the brightness out there.

 

He put them down on his bed and put a shield around them before turning around to Mei. He slunk down into a crouch and snarled viciously at her as his hair bristled. "You do know people who have recently been through emotional rejection are more wild and unpredictable, right?" He wrapped his arms around her. "Dad'll keep us safe, plus it's darker in the castle."

 

She leans against the wall with her arms folded across her chest.
She hands Orochi their mom's heart while her eyes are closed.

 

He teleported to his mom. "I don't know why I'm doing this, but here's your heart back." He said as he threw it at her chest. He picked up his baby daughter and cradled her in his arms protectively while keeping an eye on Mei.

 

Her heart rejected the shell. "You're too late, boy." She said as she sneers.
She opens her eyes.
She growls at Sephana.

 

He shrugged. "As if I care. I'm just doing this for dad." He whimpered and trembled as his only life line to sanity was cut off.

 

"Pa!" She cries.
She grabs his shirt then pulls him close to her face. "You should be, for your mate's well-being."

 

He sighed as the orb shattered. "Not again." He lifted his head and shot a death glare at Mei as the temperature in the room went down by several degrees. "You all will pay." "She called me a failure, why would I want her after that?"

 

"Last I checked, you failed to give me at the limited time." She scoffs. "She never spoke ill of you."
She creates a portal for the heart. Mei kept her head low in apology.

 

"That isn't good enough." He snarled as he put his daughter on the bed and slashed at Mei with a taloned hand. "She called me a beta, a 'second-rate'. I do not accept anything but first-place."

 

"That slipped. Her animalistic side took over." She teleports to Mei and removes the claws.
She witnessed her dad's mean side and cries.

 

He snarled at his ex-wife as the temperature dropped lower and fury filled his eyes. He pounced at her with claws outstretched. He teleported to his little sister and wrapped his arms around her.

 

She ignores him as she tried to get her heart back inside.
She sits on the bed, far away from Sephana and Orochi.

 

He dragged his own heart out from under the bed and retreated to a corner with it while hugging it protectively.

 

She successfully gets her heart inside then walks back to her room.
She kisses his lips apologizingly then heads to her dad.

 

He laid down on the floor as he pressed his cheek against the cool glass of the capsule.

 

She tilts her head.
She takes the role as the slave as her clothes changes into revealing.
