Since Terra thought Sora was Xehanort does Sora and Xehanort have a connection kinda like being related or is he talking about the Keyblade? I'm confused.

Nobody knows, it's a source of much speculation. I think that Xehanort might have had the keyblade at one point.

I have a theory about why Terra says that.

Riku was supposed to have the Kingdom Key before Sora, right? But only lost it because he accepted the darkness and the Keyblade went to Sora instead?

Well, if that's true (I'm not entirely sure, but I think I heard that somewhere), then that means that Riku was the true chosen master of the Kingdom Key. And as we can see in Sunset Horizons, Terra was the former master of the Kingdom Key. So, if it was Terra who chose the next keyblade master, then Terra would have mistaken the Kingdom Key weilder (Sora) with Riku.

So why does he call him Xehanort? Xehanort's Heartless possessed Riku's body for a time, and perhaps Terra never learned that Riku regained it. This would also explain why he claims to hate Xehanort: the boy he chose to carry on the legacy of weilding the keyblade had chosen to open the Door to Darkness.

As for the connection to Sora, it's probably an indirect relationship of Terra > Ven > Roxas > Sora.

    Wow. Another Uber-long post.

i think he said that because i belive that Xehanort had a keyblade and that like sora Xehanort had a heartless and a nobodie
back in CoM game boy version the organization members said that the only other person to do that was the xamnes thus meaning Xehanort
    thats what i think anyway

You can also use the linked hearts to link Xehanort to Sora.

    Xehanort>Riku>Sora

So maybe Terra sensed a bit of Xehanort in Sora.

It was mentioned already but I believe it has to do with the fact that Sora has some Darkness in him, and also Riku was the true intended Keyblade bearer but he fell and Sora became the inheritor.

If you played KH, Riku was somehow conned by Xehanort's Heartless to open the Door to Darkness. He was taken to Hollow Bastion and after he left, Sora gets the Keyblade that was actually supposed to be for Riku. I have my theory that Riku was getting corrupted dreams while Sora was not, because of Xehanort's Heartless because Riku makes the comment that he does not fear the Darkness, and part of Sora's dream, the voice tells him to not fear the Darkness.

Any way, Riku was told at the end of KH1 when Sora and the others get to Hollow Bastion, that he is the true Keyblade wielder. He takes the Keyblade from Sora then by just calling it to his hand. He also did this early on at Traverse Town though he gave it back to Sora, not getting the significance of what he had done. Riku at Hollow Bastion had the keyblade until he showed that at the moment his heart was weaker than Sora's because he was full of rage and doubt, while Sora was all pure of heart and with his friends and so the keyblade went to Sora, dropping Riku.

This is why I can agree that perhaps Terra thought Sora might be Riku, or that he had sensed the connection to Riku who did have Xehanort's Heartless within him.

Wow, I would have never thought of thinking that. Anyway, it's great that you thought this through.

Read the Character profiles in kh1 and you'd know Riku was supposed to be the keyblade master

The other teory I have is that the group you see in the secret end is from the realm of darkness. This would mean that Sora's aura would be the same as the old man's. I say this because in the dark realm everything is flipped and since the old man is connected to Xehanort (mostly dark with some light) it would mean that the old man is mostly light with some dark, just like Sora.

...never thought of that. The antagonist we take to be plain evil just because he's destroying the keyblade masters and has a generally dark looking keyblade and sidekick could be good after all in that setting. Nice.

Maybe Sora was an extracted version of Terra. I mean, they do have the same hair color, so maybe Sora could be some of the good of Terra.
