I didnt get it from "the name means site." I'm learning Japanese at school. Sora literally means "Sky."

*veintwitch* This is why I prefer the Spam Zone, but this particular topic made my fangirl sense tingle. Sora's a guy, but based on the posts here the name can be deemed as unisex. Goddamit why does my lowercase A and O look so much alike? My manuscript handwriting, I mean. Hello--have you noobs played Atlantica? Sora is a guy. *wipes up puddle of drool off keyboard*

I was going to say just that. If you guys have played Atlantica, you will see that Sora is indeed a guy. Nothing has been hidden from you there.

    -Ahem- Anyway...

As most people have been saying, his name is unisex. It can be both girl or guy, though some sites will say that it leans more towards another gender than both. (Trust me, I looked it up for a topic like this) Besides, the names were picked out for their meanings, not if the gender was unisex or not.

Sora mean Sky translated from Japanese :D me myself wouldn't name my son Sky...Though...Thinking now, that name sounds kind of hot for a guy...;3

  10. I always thought Sora was a girl's name, and when I first saw KHSora, or hear of it, it was weird for me since I was too used of hearing a girl being called that, which is another connection to Digimon. It doesn't matter to me now. Yet, is the same way with what Nomura decided on Terra.

That's why I fear that Axel's name is Ela D:.

I KNOW, Sora can be a boys name. It means wind... but I've seen several Japanese celebrities named Sora, and they were guys.

Do we need to debate this more?

There is a reason why Sora's called Sora instead of something like Bob. It's been revealed a while ago: Sora, Riku, and Kairi's names are connected to Terra, Aqua, and Ven's (the main characters of BBS):

Riku (Japanese) is to "land" (english) as Terra (Latin) is to "earth" (english).
Kairi is to "sea" as Aqua is to "water".
Sora is to "sky" as Ven(tus) is to "wind".

Oh, no, i meant "the-name-is-a-boy-or-girl-name-site" (<- ahaha, spellingtestfailure)

    That's what I just said.
    Uhm.
    I guess.
    I mean the atlantica thing.
Or maybe I just said it in my head.

Yeah! Me too, it's like "A GIRL? named SORA? wth?"

My whole family thought Sora was a chick,

    Because he/she/it is a lesbian!
    No, but, really.
    Sora's a boy.
Like everybody said, we've seen him in Atlantica.

    Sora IS hot.

    No.
I have a feeling everyone's gonna hate me soon.
    ._.
