Depends on the anime. I grew up with things like Sailor Moon (which is incredibly cheesy, and maybe even somewhat corny now to me), as well as Mew Mew Power, and there's always Madoka Magica, but because it's been done so much, it's hard to like a lot of them.

I feel like I will always have an appreciation for Sailor Moon because I grew up with it. It's silly and stupid, but it holds a place in my heart. Never would I put it on my top ten, though. Madoka Magica was pretty awesome!! It's pretty overrated, but I'm not going to care about how overrated something is (especially on a kingdom hearts forum HA shots fired)

Of course I love Sailor Moon and Madoka, and I also have a fondness for those early 2000s, sugar sweet Magical Girl animes (Tokyo Mew Mew, Ojamajo Doremi, Mermaid Melody, etc.)

The only magical girl anime I've seen are Madoka Magica and Kill La Kill.

Madoka Magica is the one I've been paying the most attention to in recent years. Along ago back in my youth I use to watch Sailor Moon, so there's that. :\

Well, all of who said yes are invited to come to roleplay in "Mahou Shoujo Valhalla - Magic Battle Arena" in the Role-Playing Arena.

I also need an co-admin for that. The one who accepts will be given the chance to roleplay as Ultimate Madoka.

I, as the creator, was gonna be her but since nobody here mentioned Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, I'll roleplay a character from there. Especially since I already settled on a RP setting.

Cut and Paste this to come: http://kh-vids.net/threads/mahou-shoujo-valhalla-magical-battle-arena.147519/
Lol, I love Pretty Cure too! You could be a Cure if you want!
Yes, that counts. As along you don't cuss if you roleplay as them...
Kill La Kill? So Ryuko is a Magical Girl? That explains why Tvtropes mentions Kill La Kill as the anti-thesis of Madoka Magica...
Madoka Magica and Sailor Moon FTFreakingW! I also liked the rest, plus Cardcaptor Sakura and Lyrical Nanoha.

I haven't watched Doremi or Mermaid, though.

And how come nobody knows about Cardcaptor Sakura, Lyrical Nanoha, Shugo Chara, Magic Knight Rayearth, Prétear and Princess Tutu? (Though, to be fair, I don't know of Prétear nor Magic Knight Rayearth, but I've read about it a little bit)

Oh, and Fate series characters are allowed (they do have honorary Magical Girls with Rin and Illya). Just saying, since @burnitup has a Fate/Stay Night sig and all...

MLP: Friendship Is Magic too. Shut up, they are Magical Girls, err, Ponies. Not only in Animes you can find Magical Girls after all.

You had me up until you mentioned ponies.

And I don't role play on this website.

Fate in general is not magical girl. So, no, it does not count.
No. That is not magical girl. Deal with it.

    OK, ponies, No.

I was giving options, burnitup, but if you think that, OK, Fate series no, neither.

But I still think Magical Girls are not limited to Anime.

Anime is what most people think of when they hear the words 'Magical Girl' but the entire genre was influenced by an American sitcom from the '60s.

    To quote TVTropes:

Now you're ready for Final Jeopardy.
