Well you could just get the 40GB for $400 and a PS2 for like $70-80 because the ps3 can only play most ps1 and ps2 games, while the ps2 can play all of them. That way you would save a few bucks and wouldnt have to buy a memory card adapter to transfer your save files.

but only for $30 less isn't worth it in my opinion. what i really want is just ONE universal game system that can play all my Playstation games.

 

$50 dollars less. You forgot to add the memory card adapter. And like I said, the PS3 can play most games, not all. So if one of your games isnt on the list of playable games, then you cant use it at all.

I live in canada, and at stores here, we have MANY more 80 gigs than we do 40 gigs. I got an 80 gig for christmas, but i got a second controller with it, and i really dont care about rumble that much, so ill only buy a DS3 if i rally need it / want it badly enough

anyway arguements set aside, could anyone help me with a ps3 problem im having, it seems the disk womt spin inside the drive or something, the playstation took a pretty bad fall so it could be the cause, anyone who has any suggestions, it would be greatly appriciated

Hey everyone, I just joined the playstation network even though I've had my PS3 for over a year now, lol. A friend of mine told me I had to pay for it. That's why I just did it. So My Name and ID is Death-by-Ownage. Hey, When I update lair for version 2.10 IT doesn't download. The most it foes up to is 4% and then it stops. What's up with it?

hey, i just bought an 80 GB PS3. it was one of the old ones that can play PS2 games (not the MGS4 bundle). i got it for $350, but isn't this the model that overheats or something?

 

i don't think so
my 60gig has never overheated and i play it sometimes for hours on end

Just got a PS3 today. Wondering what games to get (besides Metal Gear Solid 4, of course). I suppose I need to get the HD cables separately? Cause it just came with SD cables.
