Oh my ****ing god.....

Now that my speechless-ness is over, I guess I'll add my two cents.

Sega is taking a real gamble with this game. They are trying to return to the franchise's roots with Sonic Unleashed, but now they're coming at us with something completely different. Sonic brandeshing a sword is unheard of, but it may be better than that crappy air-spin-move....

Its hard to think that a Sonic game will be bearable anymore with what they've done with the series. But either way, he does look badass with that sword and glove. Im just hoping that this is Sega's way of evolving Sonic back to the gaming legend he was. So I shall be awaiting an RPG/Sonic adventure-esque game with fantasy/anything that isnt a real city-esque levels that emphasises more speed and action and hoping that for the love of god they dont enter anymore hedgehogs/goofy animal friends.

 

Actually (for me, anyway), the idea of Sonic wielding a sword isn't that far-fetched. If you've read the Archie Comics of Sonic The Hedgehog (the one that Sonic SatAm was based off of), Sonic's used a sword a few times. Not very often, but a few. I'm quite curious as to how this game turns out...I just hope it's not like Shadow's game.

 

Sonic in the beginning was epic ^^
However, as the years went on, the plot sort of wavered sideways...
I like the way they've added the sword, he looks cool ^^

-_- If they add another pointless character into the game, I'm going to their office to complain.

The idea of Sonic with a sword interests me. Though, it's really hard to guess if the game will be good or not, considering all of the recent ****** Sonic games.

 

I like Sonic the hedgehog for teh 360

 

The next games wont be bad! I think Sonic is doing a great job. i love the games so far

I adored Sonic 360

 

They put original SA2 stuff in Sonic 360 with more coolness. But i understand shadow the hedgehog

It looks cool, but after heroes, sonic seemed to go downhill imo and heroes was just okay. I really want to wait this game out and maybe even rent it when it comes out. To bring sonic back up after screwing over 4 games seems hard to me.

 

Seriously, What the F*SCREECH*!? XDDD I'm usually all for the major new changes in Sonic..But this one's a mystery even for me XD Maybe Sonic got tired of gettin' owned by Ike in Brawl? ¦D Then again, I've been reading the Archie series so this isn't too much of a surprise for me. o.o It's always nice to know that Sonic can do more than just run really fast, spin into a ball and destroy stuff by jumping on them XD This just better not suck gameplay wise like Secret Rings did. Great game, good story..Not that I even care about story. I mean hell, this is a VIDEO GAME. A SONIC game at that! XD If you want a good story, go read a BOOK. ¦D But still, the gameplay sucked BIG TIME. XD I felt like I was driving instead of running DX

Anyways...*shrugs* No idea about this one yet. o_o

 

I dont see whats so bad about the recent games. Everyones saying make it like the originals well guess wut. Its not supposed to be! Its supposed to be new! I would hate it if every game were just a SA2 rip off sequel.

 

Let's just hope it's not like Sonic the Hedgehog, 360 version. That was a terrible game.
But anyways, swinging a sword and some awesome speed? Chainsaw attack, anyone?

LC Attack 101: A chainsaw attack is basically what you call an attack when you spin in a ball with a sword or any other sharp weapon, and basically slash away while moving at fatal speeds. Basically like a chainsaw moving it's blades widly in a circle.

 

Oh well of course! XD It's WAY too obvious that there'll be an attack like that! Though if there isn't..Then Sega needs a good BOOT TO DA HEAD so they can think straight ¦3

 

Sonic with swords...Who thought that was a good idea? It's unnecessary, like Shadow's guns were in Shadow the Hedgehog. But who knows? Maybe this will turn out good and actually surprise me, I'll just have to wait and see.

That's what i like about the games.

 

Sega isn't taking a gamble at all IMO. They have the same idea that Nintendo has, they don't have to make a great game for it to sell well, look at Iron man. Now their just whroing Sonic for sales.
