As I said of Brokencyde, they'll stay where they are.

I've only heard guitar and drums with a very small amount of rap.

And Lil Wayne still sucks. Rock can't cover that up for him.

Take a listen to Pink Floyd and you'll know what I mean by space rock. It's like, futuristic almost. Muse does some of that style too.

There is some form of drum in nearly every rap song. Also, most beats are made using keyboards.

    Also, two words: Phony Ppl

    ...

we can assume this is valid because you have heard every rap song in existence?

Oh wow assuming things makes us cool ;D

I didn't say that, nor did I imply it. I'm simply saying the truth. I have not heard many rap/hip-hop artists using both guitar and drums.

I'd like to point out that one, guitar and drums are not the only instruments and two, that the beat itself is made using tools that are just as difficult to master as instruments, yet not as widely taught.

Also, rock does not have samples or use of outside sounds and .wav forms that the producer them self imported. Superiority lost.

Never did I say that they were :B|: And most of the time they're not as recognized because they don't usually sound as good as solid, materialized instruments. NOTE THE "USUALLY" BEFORE YOU THINK I'M GENERALIZING ALL HIP-HOP/RAP.

What do you mean by outside sounds by the way?

Flaming guitars. ...You know what, just set the band on fire and that's your musical breakthrough. Listen to badass music while people scream in agony. :/8D:

alright alright alright lets break this down:

Now, in most of these music threads as soon as you get the chance you bash rap, which, even a moron after reading all of these posts can see you dont like it very much.

Now, last time I checked, whenever people dont like a type of music, they dont listen to it all that much.

So, if you barely listen to a particular genre, what good is it saying in all of the songs you've heard (perhaps 20 songs to be generous) in that genre a certain thing or things do not exist, when clearly, if you dug more into the genre you'd see that what you said is wrong?

Also, the whole sound as good thing is pure opinion. And tons of rap songs use guitars, etc. Like so:

If you're and Incubus fan you'll realize that the second one is an example of how the guitars and drums can be chopped, lopped, and have their pitch changed and then have a new drum pattern added in to create a beat. I prefer this song over the original any day.

...wh-what? I like rap. Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Gang Starr, Flobots, Lupe Fiasco, Fort Minor, and Joe Budden are all hip-hop/rap artists I enjoy listening to.Again, please don't assume things. If I need to say it again, I will, in a revised manner.

I've only heard traditional instruments used very scarcely in hip-hop and rap. I'm not trying to start a dispute, but rather try improving the understanding of the subject for everyone, including myself, which may mean saying what I know from experience.
