my natural hair is black but when i was in the bath room i notice some parts of it were light brown and ask my mom and dad and they didn't have the brown hair at all so anyone help whats happening to my hair?
Pigmentation can be a funny thing like that sometimes. It's not always consistent throughout. I know a guy with medium dark brown hair, but towards the back there is a patch of blonde. So if I had to guess I'd say it was either random, from sunlight, or maybe brown hair is recessive in your parents' genes. xD
As others have mentioned, the sun may be playing a part in tinting your hair. Another factor could be if you go swimming or there is a high concentration of chlorine in your bathing water, and you soak it and then go out in the sun, it may lighten your hair as well. Chlorine causes 'bleaching' so it alone could even be a contributor. I also have black hair, being Native American, and yet in the summer it tends to get brownish highlights for those reasons.
I also turn blonde in the summer all the time. My hairs brown, but then I go outside, I look in the mirror, and hello! I'm blonde. (Not that quick though)
I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THIS IN SCIENCE CLASS! lol we're learning about traits. ;D Even though neither of them have brown hair, they may have inherited a bit of brown DNA and passed it down to you... So even though it didn't show at first, you still have a bit of brown hair. XP and it could also be the sun. o.o my beautiful brown hair is turning blonde at the tips. T-T
I don't really have an explanation for what is happening with your hair. All I can tell you is that my sister was born with blond hair and as she grew older it turned a lovely auburn color. It's not weird and you are not alone.
Haha, it's nothing to freak out about at all. My parents were blonde as children but now that they're adults, they have naturally brown hair. My siblings and I were all blonde as little kids, and now my brother and sister both have light brown hair. But mine is still pretty blonde in the front and very dark in the back. My hairs all range in color from platinum blonde to brown. It's crazy. :P
you must be asian then haha, yea its natural, i don't go outside much and i've been getting light brown so its like natural with asians i guess haha but just don't worry about it =]
My hair's dark and its got natural blond highlights in it. It's because I'm outside in the sun and at the beach a lot.
Like the others said, it's probably from the sun. I have the same problem during the summer. My hair is naturally light brown and is that way in the winter, but when summer rolls around, it goes into a dirty blonde.
I don't have black hair, I have blonde hair, but whenever I take a shower, streaks of brown kind of mix into the blonde hair, and I love how it looks...but then when it dries, it's not blonde/brown anymore.
like everyone else is saying, there's nothing to worry about XD it occurs naturally. I've dyed my hair a lot and now, when the sun shines on it it goes a very reddish purple colour o_0
