    I see people endless complain about Obama not following through on all his promises, and this is something that happens every time a leader comes around, to the point where it's a stereotype is most cultures I can think of off he top of my head.
    But I never got why people were so quick to go the thanks Obama route. If Obama could enact and follow through on all his promises and wishes on a whim, you'd be living in a dictatorship, or a kingdom. The President doesn't rule with absolute power, in fact, they tend to have a lot less power than a lot of people seem to believe.
    I do have a theory that people would be a lot happier with a benevolent dictator than pretty much any other kind of ruler, honestly
    But yeah, things being clunky, awkward, inefficient, slow moving and the general lack of fulfilled promises is the

    Obama's a cool dude and all, I personally think he would have made a better candidate than Romney. Most of the problems here, I realize, is Congress being so divided. Almost nothing they can seem to agree on lol.

    Also weird segue into Crisis Core D;

    That's really a major issue, rather than actually works towards the good of the people, it's all trying to do the opposite of what the other side does, to an extreme fault[DOUBLEPOST=1398547309][/DOUBLEPOST]
    Crisis Core is equally important

    "You will be...my legacy."

    I still have not completed Crisis Core because the ending is too emotional.

    "Would you say I became a hero?"

    You should finish it, just to get the inevitable crying over with.

    It is one thing to try and fail, it is another to say "this is what should be done" and then sit on your ass. Obama picks his battles. Although he does actually fight for a select few of his ideas it' s pretty rare, he usually looks like a ****ing doormat. I' m (kinda) surprised he didn' t back down on his health care reform. Its opponents, although in the minority, were weirdly vocal about it, which usually makes him run for the woods. I guess he knew that one was his best chance to be remembered for something.

    This is the real problem with Obama's presidency. If he were to propose anything, the Republicans in Congress would automatically oppose it just because he's a Democrat, locking him in place. They then use that for their own political reasons, painting him as ineffectual and constantly shoving the "thanks Obama" idea onto us (he didn't deliver on any of his promises etc). Democrats I'm sure would do this also if we had a Republican president. Checks and balances are important to keep us from becoming a dictatorship, but they're being abused by the Republicans.

    Therefore, Obama does what Patman stated: he picks his battles. And even then, it's clear that the Republicans are doing this. Obama's major contribution to the country in his presidency has been health care, but what did the Republicans do with this? Keep it in political gridlock for years and then shut down the ****ing government as a final attempt to smear Obama. It's ****ing disgusting that this playground mentality is driving our political system, and the American citizens are the ones to suffer.

    This could have been avoided if we had listening to ****ing George Washington and not started with all this party bullshit, but unfortunately I don't have a time machine to do that, so the next best option would be the rise of third parties that could move us away from the current bipartisan "Democrats OR Republicans, PICK ONE OR NOTHING." Unfortunately that's difficult for two major reasons; first, American citizens are lazy and do not get involved in their country's politics, and second, the mainstream media is controlled by lobby groups & party bias that work to keep third parties out, knowing that the power of the Dems or the Repubs would be diminished if we had third parties. Probably one of the best known third party in this country is the Green Party; their candidate for the 2012 election, Jill Stein, was honestly one of the most impressive presidential candidates I have ever seen and had I been old enough to vote, mine would have been for her. She was also arrested for trying to attend one of the televised presidential debates. If you don't think that's some high bullshit and erasure of alternate political ideals and philosophies then there's something wrong with you.

    american politics make me really ****ing mad
