I thought there was suposed to be one Keyblade master in each realm, one of light(Sora) and one of darkness(Mickey) so why is it that in the end of KHII Riku and Kairi are Keyblade masters?

Riku is the Keyblade master in between dark and light.

As for Kairi, I don't know. I think she just likes waving the thing around. Or it could be because she's a princess...

I don't think that there was ever a limit put on the number of keyblade masters. I think that Tetsuya Nomura himself said in an interview that there could be any number.

That's a good point. I mean, look at all those Keyblades in the Secret Ending. xD

Well, Riku was a Dark Keyblade Master because of his connection to Darkness, Kairi got a Keyblade at the end of the second game because of her pure heart, you know where I'm going with this, right?

That was a graveyard for original keyblade wielders. I know, because there was a huge X in between them, but the reason I know that fact is that Usually when a Keyblade Wielder dies, his blade goes to a place where usually nobody can find it, but if the wielder comes back to life, his keyblade returns to him from that place, because his soul is connected with the blade. Well, apparently, a vast dessert is where all dead keyblades go, as that was a graveyard.

Then why were they saying: Sora is THE Keyblade master?
The way it was said made it look like there was only one.

Because he's the protagonist and the most important character.

He's the Keyblade master of light. Riku was supposed to get it, but then Sora did, and I don't think I need to summarize KH for you, but Sora got it and a bunch of stuff happened and they both ended up with one.

Basically, Sora's just beast at the keyblade so he gets a cool title.
