Something about saying "Guilty" during court makes me feel like a criminal

    See you in 5-10, KHV.

In all seriousness, for having tags expired by quite a bit, that was harmless and the court cost wasn't too bad.

For small courts, they have a lot of power. I can see where you come from when you hear the judge say "Guilty". Even though it's over a small issue, the whole state is basically saying you're Guilty. Makes you wonder what would happen if you manage to piss the judge off.

    Technically, I said "Guilty."
"Mr. Bueno, you were pulled over for having expired tags. How do you plead?"
    "Guilty."
"Thank you. Step over to the clerk and you can pay your court cost."

It was simple and quick, but I guess I've seen too much Law and Order because I felt like I stabbed an old woman in the neck with a dead puppy's spine just by saying "Guilty."

Since you can be taken to court for pretty much anything, it should it shouldn't be all that surprising

I think he means that, usually something that minor wouldn't require a court visit. A lot of courts are able to do it by mail/over the internet.

Case in point, I got a minor speeding ticket in September. Did the entire thing by mail, didn't have to talk to a soul.
