i got SA2B on PSN last year and i raised chao a bunch, but man i've done it so many times. :c i want something new. sadly i think it's a vocal minority that want chao back so i doubt Sega will do it.

 

Personally I feel that they're trying out so many new things with sonic as an experement on what could be the next hit on a main console for the franchise that they're losing touch with what the fans want, I feel that the last of the good sonic games was back at unleashed (Mainly because even though the werehog stages were ... not so great) the overworld and the daytime stages looked so brilliant I would explore apotos for ages. I really would be happy with something new on the consoles...Generations is still okay it's mainly aiming to hit that nostalgia effect for the fans of the series though.

Hell I'd go as far to say that even Sonic and the secret rings is better than what they're doing with sonic right now just because there was still lots of stuff to be accomplished after you beat the final boss.

 

I just want one with a pretty easy-to-follow narrative, multiple playable characters, good music, interesting and functioning stage design, mechanics that convey speed and power that are fun to experiment with and easy to get into without feeling awkward, tight controls, a competent camera, a lot of extra content outside of the main campaign, very few new characters, intense boss fights that are challenging without being just frustrating, and a new and improved Chao Garden.

That's all, really.

 

Ya know, when people say "sega never made a good Sonic game," that language means that even the original Sonic games are crap.

Denial is the only hope.

 

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is God-tier platforming.

Sad that they tried to do this with '06 and we got '06 because terrible programming and unfinished ideas.... And then kind of with Unleashed.... MAYBE SONIC BOOM ?!?!?!!?

Never played it outside of a few levels. I've only ever played Modern-Sonic games to completion. Adventure, Adventure 2, Rush, and Heroes are my jam.
