Meh. I did not find his death all that powerful. Oh, boom, some dusks are dead. Hah. He saved Sora from dusks. How pathetic. I might have been impressed if it had been against saix, but Dusks? Sorry, I cannot appreciate his death.

Actually it's if their heartless is still alive, they fade into darkness, or if their heartless has already been destroyed, they fade into light (whatever the hell that means).

Don't forget that Axel had his ass kicked at least 4 times already; Xemnas died at 6, so Axel was already very weak in KH2, not to mention he was on the run from the Organization. Finally, he performed a suicide attack by using all his power to blow himself up on the dusks when he was so weak already. It's the fact that he sacrificed himself for a good friend while he was so weak that makes his death sad.

NO the fate of all Nobodies is almost always to fade back into the darkness of nothing with the rare exception of Namine and Roxas who returned to their original selves.

Couldnt agree more. Kill axel off and then have a cutscene with him saying "Hiya fellas! Im still alive got it memorized?!" the best he can get now...or at least the best he should get now, is a cameo appearance. They did it with Aeris. But even that would be weird if Axel was back...maybe in kh5 if there ever is one, xD

He could always be like a ghost or spirit.
Where, he talks to Sora in some echoing, ambient tone and gives words of inspiration and yadda yadda.
Or, we could see a picture of his somebody.

I've always pictured his somebody as someone with calmer hair, glasses, a constant reader and, actually, kind of wealthy.

But, his somebody can't be living because then it would be like "WTF? WHY DIND'T HE JUST GO BACK TO HIM?!"
Unless he wasn't aware he was dead or something.
Which wouldn't really make sense at all, really.

Long story short, Axel is pretty much dead for good.

Maybe something triggered when Axel was with Roxas -
I mean they actually thought that they had hearts '_'

If he comes back I would laugh xD

    But I don't think his real name is lea or ale because Xemnas's name is fake....So Xemnas's real name is Xehanort >_>;

As much as I thought Axel was cool, as others said, it would ruin the powerful effect of his death scene. Also, I don't think Nobodies can go back to their 'Somebodies' if their Somebodies are Heartless or killed Heartless. That would pretty well make no sense. If they could have been restored they would have tried that. If Nomura planned it in such a way, I hope he explains it better because that makes no sense at all and totally makes Xemnas's and the Org's plight for nada.

I really do in a way hope to see other things besides the Org now. We had the Dark Council, then the Organization and I hope the new enemies will be interesting too and keep in progression instead of stagnating at one group. If Axel did come back, I'd assume he cheated death a 3rd or 4th time, whatever number it is.

I think Axel gained a new heart out of his affection for Roxas and thus comes back.

Well, then, you apparently have no sense of scale or power. I mean, it takes about three hits for Sora to kill just one Dusk in the game, and there were easily several thousand surrounding them at that point. Axel was obviously fighting them since long before Sora arrived, and was probably down to his last bits of strength when the partner battle began (hence why he keeps stopping to pant during the battle).

Think about the effort it takes to get through one thousand heartless in the game - something that takes probably ten to fifteen minutes, with reaction commands that can kill them in one hit. That's one third of the strength it would take Axel's attack to destroy a Dusk. Now, Axel kills off probably twice as many Nobodies here as Sora in the thousand heartless battle, each requiring three times as much strength (a total of a six thousand heartless battle) in just a few seconds, already weakened. He knew that this was suicide, and that he and Sora would not have both made it through alive no matter what. So, to keep Sora/Roxas alive, he took out all of them.

This sufficiently put it in context?

And, on topic, all of that, just for Roxas? That's rather a lot, for it to mean nothing, and for him to just come back out of nowhere. ******ed.

I luv Axel no doubt, But it would be SO difficult to bring him back, they would have to have him cheat death, Escape from nothingness or Somehow make him his somebody. If he was ever a somebody or have a heart, The most logical thing to make everyone happy was that he earned it when he sacrificed his life or done something else to earn a second chance. And the only way he'd want to live again is if he couldn't find Roxas or any of his friends. Another thing that could prove he comes back was when he said "See you in the next life" but that could mean anything, Life or Death......

We won't know until KH3 comes out.

I really love Axel, but I don't think he should come back. Like the others said, if he came back, it would totally ruin the significance of his sacrifice. The fact that he killed himself saving someone he cared about leaves you with a completely different perspective of him, and it makes you wonder if all Nobodies are truly heartless. If he just came back after all that, then what was the point of creating a touching death scene instead of the scenes where he just acted like he died again?

If or when there is a KH3, it would be cool if he had a camio or if we actually got lucky enough to see his Somebody, but he shouldn't have any other important roles to play now. Under the slim circumstance that Axel actually does come back, it probably means that Nomura's got something seriously BIG up his sleeve...

I think the biggest role Axel has in the future is his character in 358/2 Days. I'm looking forward to it. :3

Agreeing with you Star_seeker, His death had so much significance it made me and my sister cry a little bit (My sis loved him more, i'm a demyx fangirl), Roxas was probably like a little brother to him so he sacrificed himself for him and also to be with him too..... AHHH I MISS THE ORGANIZATION, NO ENEMY CAN TOP THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(:(:(

  16. First off:

Basically, to break it down, your Heartless is destroyed, the heart goes free and stays in a state of suspension. If your Nobody is killed after, then you can return to your original form easily. Which is, what happened to Axel, I'm guessing.

However, if your Nobody is killed first, and the heart is still stuck on the Heartless, the body will be swallowed by the darkness. In that case, if your heart is free after that happens, is harder, cause now it depends on a maybe that you can return or not.

    -----

    Want the link? Ask.

And Naminé, in the KH2 Novel, already confirmed that Axel didn't die, but returned to his original form. Not Somebody, original form.

The only other that might also return is...Xehanort. His Heartless, as we all know, was destroyed in KH1, his Nobody in KH2. Since he's the main villain, is understandable that there would be a last, and final battle with him, which might harness into....KH3.

I really doubt that after 358/2, BBS, and Coded, there wouldn't be a final game to tie it all in and end it (Hopefully. As much as I love KH, I wouldn't want it to be dragged on and on until the franchise had been squeezed its juice out. Is not FF)

    ******

BTW, I think this thread belongs in the KH2 Section, not the BBS one. Just to say o.O.

Personally, to answer it, I will like it, a small cameo to see a type of reunion to Sora/Roxas, but then that would be it. Seriously. Axel has CoM. KH2. 358/2 Days. And a chance his Somebody might appear in KH3. Oh, let's not forget the mangas and novels. Enough. Holy-! While I like and hate Axel (for his CoM persona sometimes, is unforgivable to me, "sacrifice" or no "sacrifice") at the same time, I'm really getting tired of all the attention and focus he is getting. There are 12 other members in Organization XIII. Twelve other people that never have the proper screen time, or never have the chance to be developed, and to put it plainly, is unfair. Incredibly UNFAIR, in my honest opinion. There are other members that fans love, other characters, and I'm sick of Axel being on the forefront all the time. Hell, if you count the screen time the redhead has had (and please do so, if you think I'm exaggerating), he even has more than Roxas (minus 358/2 Days, but considering the scans, that's even questionable -_-). Axel even has his action figure in the KH line-up. Is kind of sad. I hate when a director or his company play favorites, this is exactly what happens.

You all probably don't agree with me, but I wanted to get that out there anyway.

Of course, while the new Org. game, or Roxas's game, might get into their personalities more, I'm hoping that Nomura will keep that word about showing the rest. I feel awful for the CoM members, however, their period to shine will always be short and rare :/. At least Nomura gave them Re: CoM, instead of them just being in a Game Boy, being Org. member sprites, in a game of a sidestory...that supposely you don't have to play.

    ---

By the way, some bored and lame advertisement. Want to know background events? Want to know the secrets of what your favorite characters were doing while Sora battled to save the world? Want some extra scenes? The US release of the KH2 Novels are due to be available in early June, so be sure to preorder or buy it soon! *thumbs up and a fake smile*

Unless they change it again -_-. However, keep in mind that is Disney Press translating.
