Traditional Art some old sketches

Ah, well I was cleaning out my folders, when I came across my old sketch pad, and found these two pictures. The pictures were drawn back in early 2007. . . and I must say that comparing these two pictures with my current sketches, I've improved SO much. xD From the concept of a female body to its proportions to the shading, etc.
Well anyways, these were two sketches I'd made for dress designs [as my mother actually makes the stuff I create]. LOL. Well, these two sketches were actually never to come true as they were a little too extreme for reality.

Yes, I do design clothes. And my designs have gotten my little sister first place in her Halloween contest. 8D I do want to minor in fashion design, as it brings in good money (and who doesn't want their own designer clothing brand?). Well, these are quite old, almost two years now, and my style have changed, and so many of my good designs have disappeared among my other lost designs and drawings. Oh well.

xD Yes, I confuse myself with my own name often. lol

Well, I'm not trying to degrade my own drawing here, but these two have SO MANY flaws... and the more I look at them, the more I can see them, and then find some more to add to that list. Well, you learn from your flaws I suppose, and I'm learning anew. The designs ARE straight forward, but the dresses are too extreme for reality, don't you think? xD I guess, if they were made, it'd be good to use in a movie or something. xD

 

exactly, you know , design is a what could be used in movies , the first one would look good in a black or leaf-green color or an olive color

and the second one , should be gray or dark red , with the things it has in the skirt , black and gray .

they just look really good.

 

Hat's off to you man, you've even got the colors. Those were actually my choice of colors for the dresses. The first one was supposed to be balck and green, and the bottom was supposed to be B&W. Ypu've got good taste. =P

 

That's amazing. You should definately design outfits for movies, the first one makes me think of a fantasy queen :D Anyways the bottom part of the dress on the second one seems to becom flat and then go back. Aside from that these are way cool and well drawn. I envy your sketching skills lol.

As for that second one... oh yes, the bottom pisses me off. xD I assume that I was just too lazy to actually put and effort in that last portion, however I think the dress wuld've been better without the sixth layer. <_<

O_O YESH! I CAN DRAW! D8 LOL. Yeah... It is cool. All my/my sister's Halloween costumes are original and handmade by my mother, and of course designed by yours truly. Most of the dresses hanging from my sister's closet are designed by me. lol. I really enjoy making these designs. And there are soooo many people, in my school, have actually asked my to design their prom dress, and their graduation dresses. LOL. Unfortunately, I had to decline. T_T
