For about a year, this site was my life. I had managed to know the story of both KH and KH2 even though I've never played the games. i learned how to RP. i found an enjoyable hobby. I found a second addiction with my other addiction of webcomics. I made friends. It's surprising how much can happen in a year. In less than a year, all the cool people leave the site. Not many good RPs are made or even still open. Members aren't active anymore. More new people join the site still. But some.....some don't seem to have brains. Or just a lack of empathy to others. Either way, KHV has always been my sanctuary from actual life. But....now......it's not much of a sanctuary anymore.
Well, I just got here yesterday and, I already see a lot of rule breaking but, Don't worry I'm sure the mods and admins here will see us through (I hope). I have a lot of forum experience so you won't have to worry about me not having a brain. :P
I see what you mean. People grow out of the things they used to love. And yes, this site has changed, or so I've heard. But a lot of great new people are joining too imo! Also, maybe you should try making an RP yourself, if you haven't done so already. Could be fun, right? Even so, it's probably a good idea to find some additional pastimes as well. I'm sure there are other things you will enjoy once you tried them. (By the way, is this a goodbye thread? If so, then I should move this for you.)
I'm not sure if it's a goodbye thread.......I don't really want to leave....since my fingers manage to login to this site every time I turn the computer on from force of habit. Besides that.....it's really hard to leave. Saki knows that best. He took precautions to prevent himself from coming back. Although I am kind of sad that he left....if I leave, I'll just log back in again because I can't help it. So i guess....for now this is a help thread. And I suppose I'll ahve to find something else to do. -_-
Some RP sites I'm on are inactive slightly at the moment. Come summer everyone'll be back. Trust me. These times are difficult because of Finals and whatnot. Well, I got here recently, and I'll be here to stay. <3
I didn't play KH1 or 2 either. I only played COM for the GBAsp. I know enough about the story though. This forum is more active than the first forum I ever joined. I like this website.
I could agree with you. Many of the famous are leaving, but not cause they want to. It's because real life is impacting them. RPs on the other hand aren't that bad. It's just not many look there nowdays. But things will improve. As we speak, new members join. So don't worry. This site will rise and will never die (unless some bug appears =\)
Well, life changes, people come and grow, and things that once held our intest rapidly start to become dull or boring. The site has changed it is true, and it doesn't help when we are pretty much frozen from updating and making things any better. It is like being stuck frozen in time. It is hard to escape this place, I think we have all tried at one point or another. Maybe you could try as Styx says and make your own RPs, plus not all the new members are brainless and besides, members probably thought the same about you when you were new :B Such is the life cycle of forums. People join, people stay, new people join, the old people complain and/or leave, the new people become older members, new people join and the new generation of older members complains about the newbs. edit: ****, didn't realise this was a bumped thread, in which case disregard, I hope you worked everything out for yourself <3
If the site was once this good glory will always return...I'm a fairly newbie and I think I have a brain...If not I'll just try my best not to screw up anything
