The fact that Rick Santorum has won several primaries. Though I suppose that reflects more on Americans themselves than the government.

    This. It's sad, but true.

If a Republican nominee ends up as President, my mom has told me point blank that we're moving to Canada.

Vote Republican. It'll get you closer to What?, Sabby, and that other member who lives in Canada.

That is correct. Rick Santorum himself proves the point; the primaries are irrelevant.

... What if Ron Paul wins?

I knew Canada was small, but are Cat and her mother really that huge of a migration wave?

If Romney wins or Obama stays I'm moving to Canada. On the off chance that Hilary Clinton bludgeons Obama with a broom and wins I'm moving to the outer rim.

On the off chance that he manages to make the kind of comeback that Santorum did and wins the Republican primary, I don't know if the result would be the same.

Still, to be honest, I'd much rather bring Obama back for a second term than have to choose between the best of the worst. Well, when you think about it, that's all that this is anyway. You pick the candidate that you can live with...

    How American Voting Works:
"Gee, this independent candidate looks pretty good, way better than the candidate for the party I usually vote for. On second thought, nobody ever votes for the independent. I'll just vote for my party. If I lose, at least it'll be with someone all my friends voted for."

Unfortunately KS is right. Right now we're voting for whoever seems like the lesser of two evils. I think Obama is a decent dude by politics standards, but he is by no means the best we can do. Rocky Anderson seems like a really promising candidate but he stands no chance.

The Republican turnout this year is so piss poor, though, that I'm confident Obama will win, so I don't mind throwing my vote to a third party candidate. Not that my vote even has weight, of course. But New York is pretty obviously going to vote Democrat so yeah.

    Yeeeah...

Florida will most likely go Republican. Let's face it, we're a state full of older people who refuse to compromise on their beliefs, and the majority of them believe that Obama would be a far greater evil than Mitt Romney or Rick Santorum.

If I were old enough to vote, I would definitely go Democrat this time.

I mean, I try to be accepting of Republicans and all (not that hardly though), differences in opinion etc., but just... how. Are these really the best people they could scrounge up?

I have issues with Democrats as well. Both parties just get caught up in one upping each other or play the "who can make the most cashmoniez" game that it rarely matters what's best for the country. Aside from that, though, I'm personally a raging socialist so the Democrats just aren't enough for me haha.

Funny, you're a socialist and I'm an antifederalist. This is just BEGGING for a sitcom!

This is why I'm kinda glad that I'm not registered to vote.
Quite honestly, I have no idea what I am doing with all this political bullsh*t.

Let's just vote me as Supreme King of the world and then we wont have all these f*cking problems.

As horrible as this is, it honestly doesn't surprise me anymore, and that in itself is probably a cause for concern.

I think the only politician, from any country, that I actually like is Vermin Supreme. He has terrible, TERRIBLE policies, but at least they are funny ones, he is aware that they are terrible, and openly admits he will most likely break his promises. He is a terrible politician, but at least he is honest about that fact.
