I said "PC Version" for a reason. Yeah, the FFVII strategy guides and everyone else spells it "Aeris." But when you play the original Playstation version, her default name is "Aerith." "Aeris" is pretty much only used in the PC Version and the FFVII strategy guides. Nowadays they use the "th" spelling, whether its FFVII:AC or the KH series.

Why they did it is beyond me. The "th" makes it sound like a lisp or something. I'll take "Aeris" over "Aerith" any day. :D

But back to the topic. Cid's voice wasn't so bad. To be honest, I wasn't expecting him to have the cowboy voice either. It becomes bearable after awhile, though. At least he actually has a voice unlike KH1. ;)

 

To tell the truth, before Kingdom Hearts Cid only spoke in speech bubbles and I sort of pictured him talking like that, but not so much as "HOWDY, Y'ALL!":imslow:

 

Actually, in the PS1 version I have the default name's Aeris...

 

Cid's voice even tho he has like 3 lines

 

-I didn't really like how English Sora sounded in KHII. (I know its the same voice actor, and Haley is a good actor, but I just don't think it matches Sora...I dunno )

-Donald (in all languages). But he's always annoying :) (in Kingdom Hearts and out) I love him anyways. :3

Actually, her name in the FF VII English version is Aeris. Her Japanese name was Aerith. However, when they changed Sephiroth's name which in Japanese is Sephiros(u), they thought the connection with Sephiroth and Aerith having a 'th' would be awkward so they altered her name to Aeris. I believe that's why her name changed, any way. It's been sometime since I've seen it. I was actually surprised in KH that they used Aerith instead of Aeris, but I do think it was cool because that was always meant to be her real name any way.

Now that you mention it, yes, that was starting to get on my nerves too at points. It made me want to kick Pooh back into his window to be stuck again.

 

Well, that explained a lot! I was always wondering about that, especially when Bradygames did their FFVII Strategy Guide for the Playstation. Thanks for clearing that up!

But I personally prefer the "Aeris" to the "Aerith." The "s" makes it sound more free-flowing like "heiress" compared to the hard "lithp" in the other spelling. I never did get used to the "Aerith." It always makes me feel like I'm tarnishing a good name, somehow...

Anyway, I digress. If you guys think Pooh was bad, what about Tigger? He sounds nothing like he used to. Especially since Jim Cummings took on both roles when Paul Winchell retired. You can definitely tell its the same guy as Pete.

And my friend bought the Japanese KH2 soundtrack and it had "Under The Sea" on it...I'll just say my ears were bleeding.

Japanese Axel's voice is good... it's also Reno's Japanese voice... But I still say that NO voice is worse than Japanese Mickey...

 

Well, I never liked Kiaris Japanese Voice sped up. It sounds so wierd.

 

As much as I really love Donald Duck(And I do ALOT) I don't care for Tony Alsemo's Donald voice. It's a good immitation of Nash, but he's really just 'that guy that can immitate Donald at parties'. XD Lol
So, Donald's voice in the game is'nt really that great to me. :/

 

Tigger and Piglet were just as annoting as Pooh, but Tigger is my favorite out of them all...I think he sort of reminds me of an animal of Axel:D and I don't like Winnie the Pooh PERIOD!
I didn't know it was the same voice as Pete...But now that you mention it, he does have that sort of Tigger-ish voice to him.

The last KHII song from Atlantica...A New Day Is Dawning...That was a Japanese Goofy and Donald that...(No offense,) Made me want to laugh so hard I choked.
