As I said, if you wish to post again hoping for a more serious group of people to answer, the best thing to do is take my previous posts advice and post again without improvements. Your post lacked more detail than a simple choice of this or that and then showed gifs that promoted a sort of fun and casual manner. It didn't seem very serious or important, something that the spam zone is more familiar with.
Look to other Help With Life threads if you want an example of the sort of thread you should make for that section.

And to the rest of you guys, stop backseat modding and telling him what to do, that's my job! : p

Don't go with either *blatantly skipping every single post in this thread* just become a long lost demon child who is one day found and given an entire empire to do with as you please. Or you could accidentally bump into someone one day and they hand you a trillion dollars. Skip the work and do one of those two.

(Srsly tho, Walmart suks bologna. If those were my only two choices I'd go with the theater. At least you get to watch free movies sometimes there.)

I don't think you understand just how difficult getting a job actually is. You don't just apply and magically have a job guarantee, you need to apply to multiple places for multiple different positions in multiple different locations. My last job was the result of sending 20+ applications every week during nearly four months of unemployment, and from seeing some friends struggle I can say I was lucky to even get an interview.

Usually you are competing agains dozens, if not hundreds of other applicants, just to be in that top 10-20% percentile they decide to interview. And then out of that group they'll hire one, maybe two people. And odds are, there's always gonna be someone better than you. Someone with more experience, someone who can turn their application into poetry, someone who is more charming in person, someone who knows all the right answers to the questions, someone who has researched the company more, someone who is incredibly quick on their feet and can bullshit their way out of an execution, hell, someone who just happens to look more like an ideal employee for whatever company.

Bottom line is, you apply to any job you can, even if the work trip is inconvinient (when I had to take public transit, I was lucky if my trip was an hour and a half), even if it doesn't sound glamorous. And the fact that a place isn't saying it's hiring should not stop you. Apply to almost all big chains around you online, walk into small businesses and ask them directly if they're hiring. There's no such thing as having too many interviews lined up, and if you manage to get a job, you can always cancel.

Your intent may have been one for discussion and help but it came across as too casual and that is why it was moved. It's fine having GIF images but it made the topic come across as a lot less serious than you intended. Also, you normally need to include more information in the first post and then let people question if they don't understand something, you need to give more detail about your thoughts and feelings on your choices and then people can quiz you on what you have said. You can't put minimal information in the opening thread and then expect everyone to question it, expand and if something is unclear then members will ask.

It's not too difficult to put more depth in your post- you can say things like why you prefer each job or how both are hiring or just something about why you are having a hard time deciding. You can look at other threads in the Help with life section for guidance but this thread was perceived as being more spammy simply because of these reasons.

There wasn't any more information that needed to be given out o_O.
But...I...was...already...accepted...to...both...of...the...workplaces o_O. In my small country-shack town it isn't too difficult to get a job.

This makes more sense but there is always more information to be given out like what you think is good about each, the logistics of each, if the logistics are the same then say that but mentioning it still adds depth.

But the first post was more than ten words and was trying help with me a situation in life. Depth could have been if there was discussion.

Walmart, in general, disrespects their employees and doesn't provide good benefits and is the spawn of Satan and isn't even cute and so on. However, as a parttimer you really don't care about how badly they treat you since all parttimers are shat on at that level. So it's whether you wanna help fuel the cause of a world wide power against human rights or not.

In the end, I'd just go for not Walmart every time. But if they somehow pay you more or it's more convenient to commute, I wouldn't judge you for taking it.

More than 10 words is good but for a post like this you need more depth. In the opening post of every Help with life thread, people explain their situation in depth (I'm not saying write an essay but just include more information about why you need help with this choice). I do understand that you want legitimate answers but the opening thread is similar to something found in the spamzone. The difference between the spamzone and Help with life is just the amount of information given in each. I have seen members post similar topics in each section but it qualifies in the discussion due to the amount of information given.

The thing is, help with life is in the discussion section- it is a subsection of it and that means that people discuss other's problems and how to solve them so yes, depth is for discussion and to qualify for the help with life you need discussion.

But I stated that I narrowed down my job to two places o_O.
But I just wanted a simple question to be answered without so much "depth" being required in order for it to be considered important. I also wanted serious discussion about it. Not all personal problems require so much depth. I know that every site has its regulations and complexities but the other three had no complications whatsoever when this thread was posted. Why is this site so...different?

Because most of our staff are much more serious than others. It's bad and good at the same time, but that's all.

If you don't like it, well... Idk. But in all honesty I really think you need to put more thought into your posts as opposed to:

    Picture

    Sentence

    Discuss

That's all I ever see from you, and I'm sure it's all others see from you too.

But that's pretty much how every discussion post is o_O. However thank you for looking at all of my threads :D.

...I can just tell you probably don't look at other discussion posts if that's what you think they are. Only discussion posts I see with pictures are Game articles, and even then they have Text Walls

Most people want as much information as they can possibly have in the first post, so you need to give us more. How can we help you if you don't tell us the extent of the problem?
We don't want to have to ask in order to know why you need help; you should be telling us as soon as we enter the thread.
The pictures don't give us any information about those two places, they're just there for entertainment. They cause people to take the thread less seriously because there's no real reason for them to be there.

    A few questions:

How did you narrow it down between these two choices?
What about Walmart/the movies makes you want to work there?
What makes you not want to work there?
    Which one pays more?
Which has a better work environment?
Why do you want/need our help?

These are some questions that you should have answered in the original post.
