So...where should I work?

I was thinking of getting a part-time job and I have narrowed it down to two choices...
Walmart.


Or the movies theater?

This can't be a serious question... because Wal-Mart is still an option.

Honestly, I have no idea about walmart, as for the cinema you could ask misty on how things go there.

 

Apply for both, as you have a great chance of getting neither.

 

Whoa, whoa this is a serious question. The pics were just for entertainment. I really do need help when it comes to picking either of these. I don't know why they moved this thread from the Help with Life to the Spam Zone o_O.

I would say to take the movies. I've never heard anything good about working at Wal-Mart, and retail can suck a lot if you don't get into it quickly or you just don't like dealing with people. Heck, I'm a Cart Attendant at Target and I'm annoyed just by the sheer laziness of people out there.

 

Seconded, you should work wherever they actually hire you because economy.

 

1. Walmart is horrible to it's workers, even when I was desperate I didn't apply there.
2. Narrowing places you apply to to two is a really dumb move. Even when I had some work experience, the amount of applications I put out compared to the amount of interviews I got was about 75:1, and an interview is in no way a guaranteed job.
3. I'm assuming you're in the US, so I highly recommend applying to Starbucks. I think you can get benefits when you work 25+ hours a week (most places you have to do 32, in my previous job you had to work 40 h/week), they're one of the more ethical companies out there, and nearly all of my friends who work/worked there thought it was a great place to work (and the one who didn't like it there said it was mainly because her supervisor was a humongous ******nozzle).

 

As someone who worked at Target and the movies, work at the movies.

 

But I don't have a Starbucks near me :( Plus, those two places are hiring now and are easy to get to.

It's not that spammy. It at least has a bit more content than my previous threads. Plus, what other information does this thread need in order to make it non-spammy?

 

Go for whichever job doesn't require you to know English.

 

Reasons for each, pay, cons, etc. We don't know you

 

Not including gifs is a good start, as well as giving a bit more information on your thoughts, feelings and why it's a serious issue for you.
You can try to make another thread in Help With Life having those improvements and I'm sure you'd get a more positive response.
